hot, like as soon as it's out of the toaster it's a race against the clock to get the butter down so it can melt.
good proper butter is definately the superior flavour but in winter you can't get that stuff to spread without mauling the bread which is somewhat counter productive.
Always hot. This time of year i try and cut thin slivers of butter ready for the piping hot toast.
Gotta let it cool down a bit before buttering it, tastes way better!Not a cuisine thread hence GD as I suspect we all eat toast.
My wife lets her toast cool down before eating or buttering it. I think this is wrong and unacceptable and shouldn't be tolerated.
So the question is simple: toast: hot or cold?
