I had no idea OCUK was a snuff forum. Where are those little-Tech regulatory bodies when you need them. Disgusting thread. You should all be ashamed.

hot, like as soon as it's out of the toaster it's a race against the clock to get the butter down so it can melt.

good proper butter is definately the superior flavour but in winter you can't get that stuff to spread without mauling the bread which is somewhat counter productive.

This - butter on asap, melted goodness nom nom.

Toast is good eating hot or cold, so it doesn't matter.

Personally, I prefer it hot with a small amount of salted butter. Best of all, a thick doorstop slice toasted over a fire. But a cold slice from a toaster is still good eating.

Cold with some salted butter.

Mate of mine used to pour a cup of tea over toast and sprinkle sugar very liberally on it, he said it was a 'thing' in the North East? Never heard or seen it before but it looked gross.

Not a cuisine thread hence GD as I suspect we all eat toast.

My wife lets her toast cool down before eating or buttering it. I think this is wrong and unacceptable and shouldn't be tolerated.

So the question is simple: toast: hot or cold?

Cheers :D
Gotta let it cool down a bit before buttering it, tastes way better!
