If I'm having beans on toast or fried egg on toast or toast with a fried breakfast then cold with a thick layer of butter. Stops the toast going soft before you eat if. For plain buttered toast or with jam, hot and buttered.

Jon Tickle had the right idea for a toaster, one that toasted the slices at different speeds so you'd just be finishing the first one when the second one popped up.

Hot as possible but I will eat it cold.
It also has to be white bread otherwise it's not toast.

I find white bread, unless it is fresh from a bakery, is rubbish for a toast. If I'm not buying a fresh loaf then Warburton's Seeded Batch or Hovis' Seed Sensations are far superior.

Deffo hot toast, what is wrong with you people..

And seeded granary > white bread for me, especially if you slap Bacon and Sausage in it..

A man of taste, I see. This man understands how to do proper toast.

Only time white bread makes toast as good is if it's fresh (Can't say no to a nice tiger loaf) or if it's sourdough. Otherwise I find it super boring
