Keep going dude, I loved the stronglifts program. I stopped doing it about two months ago. But my current program is very similar and the weights keep on going up
biggest issue is that the only other suit i have atm is a tighter fit than the one I split yesterday! At least now I can justify a new suit or three...
these were so nice, now i've got the form dialed in better they went up so much easier. slightly longer break between sets helped too
ohp
bar 2x5
35 5/5/5/5/4
ohp you are a cruel thing, first 4 sets were ok, bit grind-y but went up. 5th set i managed 3 reps, had to push press the fourth and the fifth was just a non-starter
yeah overall i'm happy with the progress, gonna need to get my squats back on track if i'm gonna hit 80 by the end of the month.
you can see from my progress graph that ohp is the lift i have the biggest beef with, although bp is stalling now too. Other than the most recent drop on squats for form the only stall of DL and squat have been me loading the bar wrong. will be interesting to see how it goes from here...
It's nice to see it all charted out in a graph like that. It's really no surprise that overhead press isn't moving as quickly though, it can be quite a tough one full stop. I've strained places a few times going for OHP PBs, and then sometimes you just get a nice boost to push you over.
70 is where i'd gotten to before i dropped weight to fix form, so I knew i could do it, felt much better now though so give it a few more sessions and i should be doing >BW squats hopefully.
Didn't get to the gym last night as my right heel is giving me grief, don't know what it is but it's sore when i put weight on it. Might tone the squats down tomo and so some more arm work instead, thoughts?
so I thought I'd made it through yesterday without any suffering, got to the evening and my quads were starting to get sore, now getting absolutely DOMS-inated (that's a word now) this morning
