31-05-2005. I was around before the nuke, by a few years I think. Can't quite believe it's now >20 years, even my mum the other day recognised the forum on my computer and said "are you still on those Overclockers forums?". I joined because the first computer my mum bought kept having issues, then the first PC I built - I blew up (forgot the standoffs) and then I had the Half Life issue. The game randomly crashed and never got to the bottom of it despite replacing all PC parts, I think my last suspicion was the disc drive.

I remember the much older format, Spie, I used to do lots of spec me threads, randomly ending up at Keele uni which was near OcUK, a car meet me and another forum member went on, rest is all quite patchy.

Edit - apparently this was one of my earlier orders with the shop...

I did have an account which got lost and I had to sign up again as I recall. But back in those days I was mainly a lurker and eventually when I wanted to post I had to make an account again.

I can't believe it's been 20 years... jesus. Or that nobody stole my username ;) Not sure why I picked something so obscure when the world was my oyster lol. I don't remember all that much about it other than people blaming the mods for letting the hamster that powered the server die.

It was a long time ago, I remember very little from then. Apart from everyone trying to register as quick as possible to grab a low user id.

ISO date (YYYY-MM-DD) is the best date format :(
