Damn that's an immense price !

Question, When not on offer why is the Swift still more expensive than this considering they are pretty much the identical monitor ?

Because DELL decide what they sell to me at and Asus decide what they sell to me at. Asus cost a vast amount more than this.

Yes they are both the same panel and yes DELL has the superior warranty service, really is the better deal.

Or as someone else said, ROG TAX. :D

Should be referred as "ABN TAX" (Asus Big Nose Tax) :D

If I was looking for a G-Sync Monitor today I would buy this one right now! Finally a great price on a G-Sync monitor.
This to be honest.

In comparison, the BenQ and Asus 2560 res 144Hz TN Freesync monitor at £380 looks like a rip-off- they should really be in the £280-£300 range. The only way I see them to be able to justify that price is only if they were VA or IPS panel, but no they are just TN.

Was genuinely excited until I saw it's a TN panel. No thanks.

The IPS panels are £700+? We really are being milked to death.

gsync and 144hz for under 500 notes. I wish I had the money for this, but Christmas has taken any spare. Still, I think I would want to try a better panel than a TN as I've had a TN panel for a few years now and want to compare with IPS.

Looks good.

However, I hope Dell will release an IPS G-sync panel soon as I'm concerned with Asus' quality control on their offerings :(

There never will be a deal on true premium panels, I knew without even opening the thread!

That's why I've been setting money aside for a 4K120 screen, I know it will come with a severe pricetag and it won't ever go down much. :(

If you want G-Sync and IPS money must not be a object for you. Majority of gamers would just be happy with anything G-Sync atm Since it's really expensive. IPS would be great, but most wont be able to afford both IPS and G-Sync. I'm quite happy with original Asus Swift g-sync TN panel.

Same here. Will wait 12 months and get me a 32" 4K 120Hz Dell :D

Does look pretty sweet.

I'm still gaming on an old school 2008 Dell 2470 wfp.

Terrible tearing and only DVI connector.

Thing is my 970 might not be able to drive a 2560x1440 monitor at the settings I like (which is max or close too)

Also I would be torn when buying this monitor why I didn't get a 4k panel. (But 4k would have an even worse issue with running games at acceptable fps)

Cracking price, I got this on the "black friday deal" at £469 i seem to remember. its really been a massive upgrade from a 1080p 60hz monitor. Have to say games feel allot more fluid and when dropping off that 60fs V-sync you dont get the nasty stutter. I play GTA V with everything wound up to the max for the eye candy and with my old 1080p it would often drop to 50 fps and stutter coming off the V-sync to 30 fps. I now no longer get this and average about 80 fps. most games such as COD i get 110 fps with everything on max so the 980 copes fine with this monitor.

However overclockers please stop lowing the price of this monitor its making me angry :D

Dont be put of by it being a TN its a very good TN.
