Today's mass shooting in the US

No Trump bought it up.

No, he didn't. The comment Trump is alleged to have made (you don't even have proof he said it, only an accusation) makes no mention of "race" at all. Nor does it refer to the entire continent of Africa. You made both those things up from your own obsession with "race".

Norway is a much richer country than Haiti. It also has a much lower crime rate. Just a couple of examples of differences between the two countries. Differences relevant to immigration. It's your obsession that leads you to believe that the only possible difference anyone could care about is your beliefs about "race". A difference which is irrelevant to immigration and not actually real at all. Maybe Trump shares your beliefs and obsessions, but I doubt it because there's no evidence of it and that degree of obsession is almost impossible to hide. Especially for someone like Trump, who routinely blurts out everything that flitters through their mind.

Oh dear. Blame the teacher plan looks like its backfiring. Who to blame next? We've had video games, rap music, young men wearing eye liner, not enough God, not enough guns, too many teachers and not enough armed security and teachers leaving doors open.

Is blaming Dungeons and Dragons still a thing in the USA or is that too old-fashioned nowadays?

I was trying to defend you as I ws thinking Col Klink was taking the pee out of you putting a quote as his sig, the same he did to roar.
as usual I should stay out of it then? lol

I'll try explaining again. I was NOT replying to you. I was quoting something you said that I agreed with.

Klinck probably is trying to ridicule and villify me by quoting out of context. Maybe by just making stuff up and pretending I said it. If I had any respect for them I'd care. Fortunately I don't.

Its not ridicule or vilify, its laugh at one of the most ridiculous comparisons I've seen on this forum and that is saying something. You aren't going to try and deny you wrote that in my sig are you?

I'm not obsessed with race, I've worked and travelled and lived all over the world. I couldn't give a damn about people's skin colour, sadly for a lot of people it matters. And you can dance around it all you want, Trump meant white northern European when he said Norway. And of course he said it, why would so many of his staff lie? How many of Biden's staff are coming out with such stories about Biden? How many did with Obama or Bush? There is a reason so many things like this came out with Trump and its because he is the kind of person who says these things, Which is part of why so many of his supporters support him. "Oh he says it like it is."

I don't know. I have sigs turned off and I'm not going to turn them on for someone I care nothing about.

If your not obsessed with race, why do you see it mentioned when it wasn't mentioned? You mentioned race. Trump didn't. You can dance around that if you like, but it won't change anything.

trump, ted cruz (I refuse to capitalise names of people like this, they need to earn their capitals instead of attacking their capitols) had an NRA event stating they vow to "harden schools" by bullet proofing doors and having bulletproof blankets (etc. These people are insane. They say guns aren't the problem with school shooting, and that a bad guy with a gun is dealt with only by a good guy with a gun.

They also blamed teachers for not keeping doors locked, wtf is that all about! Essentially these shootings are the fault of everyone but themselves - When it is actually these republicans at fault. 52 republican senators refused to sign the gun control document recently for example.

These people even blame video games for it even though time and time again studies show no correlation to actual violence with kids who play violent video games - But hey these people don't give a damn about evidential science.

Edit for typo and added further detail.

Guys just a forewarning. I'm going to go through and clear this thread up later as it seems to have gone off at a tangent. Between now and then though, could you get it back on topic (thanks @mrk) so that I don't have to delete posts after this, please?

Think of your friendly neighbourhood moderators.

It's sad that a country that consider themselves pro-life want to regulate women rather than guns.
Hah yes that reminds me of a quote from lauren bobert too. She said 15,000 deaths result from gun violence, yet over a million from abortions (her words, unverified of course). She labelled the gun deaths as a "drop in the ocean" and that abortions need to be banned. They also put forward the notion that babies born out of rape the mother should feel blessed or words to that effect (I forget the exact quote).

The hilarious thing also is that these same senators unanimously said no to a bill that would put $500 in the hands of new mothers. So they are pro life, but they are against giving extra money to those parents that would need the extra financial uplift to support that new life.

Brilliant.

RIP to the victims.

"Uvalde police, school district no longer cooperating with Texas probe of shooting: Sources"

The new police chief was slow and should be sacked asap.
And why did the teacher prop the door open to bring in food from here car?

I hope someone will announce a clear time line soon.

I see the normal libs have taken this thread off topic.

It doesn't matter, as the CCTV shows she closed it before the gunman arrived.

And if the door was supposed to latch/lock and didn't, and nobody was aware of that, then you can't blame the teacher.

It does matter as teachers are not allowed to use an emergency door to bring things in.
The teacher should have used the front door. Imagine if it was a teacher that had lost it and took things in where no one could see.

But something was blocking it from closing. I hope the thing she used did not stop the door from locking.
Like a bit of the rock fell off and blocked the sensor.

I just hope the the police and school district start talking.

Hypothetically, even if the teacher used an entrance she wasn't supposed to, and the door somehow remained open, are we really going to blame them for the massacre that followed? Sounds like complete and utter deflection from the root cause if you ask me.

I don't see anyone blaming the teacher.
The cause was the new sheriff mostly for not acting fast enough.

The person to blame is the guy who did the shooting I reckon, no one else is "to blame", they might have acted differently given the now known circumstances since likely no one was expecting a school shooting and hindsight is 20/20 for the Police response. "Fog of war" also applies to situations like these.

That's still not the root cause though is it, although once the killing started then yes, the police response fell way short.

What is the root cause?
Before you say guns. There are many members on here who have guns. And those guns haven't killed anyone.

It's the people that kill other people with weapons such as guns\cars ect.
