Today's mass shooting in the US

America could solve so many of their gun crime issues with better laws around getting them, continued ownership of them and restrictions on what you can own. As is always the case in America though, the few rule the many and the gun lobby is powerful. Its depressing how little it takes to bribe senators and elected officials over there. Their recent history is full of decisions that make 0 sense until you look at who is controlling the agenda and those people should be executed for the damage their decisions have caused. Its all about money.

It’s worthwhile trying to ban something responsible for fewer than 400 homicides over the past several years. It’s worth banning hands and feet TBH.

Yes, that’s what I meant.
 
Imagine seeing this guy walking down the street towards you or in the supermarket. What do you think? I think he's a loon and it wouldn't take much to flip the switch that would have him using those guns. For all you know something has already happened in his life that morning that has flipped the switch, his partner has cheated on him, his boss has sacked him, he might have watched something on youtube that has pushed him over the edge. I wouldn't be comfortable while he was anywhere near me.

Why does he need 4 guns? The fact he looks like that suggests he's unhinged anyway. Im not gun expert but wouldnt that be well over 100 rounds of Ammo?

Omg, 3 guns?! Super scary. I was around a Police Officer with a gun once and anything could've happened that morning! Every time something bad in my life happens I definitely consider killing multiple people, thank goodness I don't have access to guns.

He's legally carrying firearms in a country where it is legal to carry firearms, he isn't murdering anyone, I doubt he ever has or ever will. There's a lot of people in America who are very pro 2nd amendment and who carry firearms with zero intention to shoot anyone. They have a different culture and world view to you. The guys out with their guns on holsters going to a store being polite and friendly to everyone aren't the people you need to worry about. Maybe actually visit America and go to some of these places and you'd have some idea what you're talking about.
 
What is the actual objection to a bit of gun control?

Seems having more stringent checks is a heinous affront, but kids going to school in bulletproof backpacks, turning the school into a fortress, having active shooter drills, training teachers(teachers....) to be good guys with guns, armed guards, metal detectors, steel doors.....all totally fine.

Loonies. :cry:
