Today's mass shooting in the US

Well, I was checking the School Shootings in the USA, it's currently got 7 listed, but I said 4 because the death/wondered was so low for the others.

Sorry for the confusion.

I wasn't querying you guys, just the sources of the information :) , as the media keeps giving different numbers, I wonder if they are using different criteria

Well, which is it? :p

or do we have the difference between calendar year and academic year going on?

18 where a gun has been fired on school grounds. 8 with no injuries, 2 suicides, 8 resulting in injury/death.

It all depends on what statistics you choose to use - like how "mass shootings" change between states.

Did we ever find out why the Vegas shooter did what he did? Genuine question

Not that any reason mitigates what has happened but I have currently have the conclusion that it was a nut job without an ideology?

Just going to leave this here, every time this happens I come back to this song the kids carrying out these attacks weren't born to this something is broken in society if kids are deciding this is a good idea.

President Broke Brains and all round orange tub of lard would have been tweeting from the toilet if any of this were true.

It's funny how the people who shout the loudest about "Fake News" when pointing at articles from MSM outlets are actually the biggest proponents of spreading actual "Fake News"

It's almost like they have an agenda....or they are just plain stupid, I'm not sure which.

I see that Donnie Two Scoops Cheetos In Charge can't even be bothered to address the nation. He must be gutted the shooter was American and white.

Make America Great Again indeed :/

Well he's probably not that interested because it wasn't the biggliest and bestest School shooting

That he was a "registered Democrat supporter of ISIS" will become fact now for every Trump supporting NRA gun lover, even though it's already been debunked.

That's how the internet works now.

That has already been disputed by other parts of the media. It's unlikely a registered democrat is going to be wearing a Trump MAGA hat is it

UPDATE: Nicolas de Jesus Cruz was not Registered as Democrat as Some Sources Reported

Nice try though...

You’ll quote the gateway pundit when it suits you it seems, but you didn’t even read half of it, says hat he wasn’t actually a Trump supporter.

But whoever he votes for is irrelevant, not every shooting is politically motivated

Only because they updated their own story to now debunk their first version!

Finally, something we do agree on :)

The deadly gun rampage at a Florida high school on Wednesday took to 18 the number of school shootings across the United States so far this year

Los Angeles, February 1
An accidental shooting injured five children at the Salvador B. Castro Middle School.

Oxon Hill, February 5
A teen was shot outside of Oxon Hill High School in Maryland. The victim survived.

Maplewood, February 5
A third-grader pulled the trigger on an officer's gun, firing a shot at the Harmony Learning Centre in Minnesota. No one was hurt.

New York, February 8
A teenager was taken into custody after a shot was fired inside Metropolitan High School. No one was hurt.

Parkland, February 14
A 19-year-old gunman returned to a Florida high school where he had once been expelled for disciplinary reasons and opened fire with an assault-style rifle, killing 17 people before he was arrested by police.

That list in the spoiler tags is just insane

Even if the majority of them are "accidental" discharges (or suicides :( ) it's crazy there are so many guns on school premises

Wow. The state of Florida has kindly offered to pay to bury the 17 teenagers they couldn't be bothered to protect with decent gun laws. I can't think of anything more sinister than a state that only starts representing your interests after they've been complicit in your murder.

If that was my kid that was killed in this shooting, I’d tell them to go shove it where the sun don’t shine.

What a broken country America is, that owning a gun is a right but having healthcare is a privilege.

RIP to the ones who lost their lives in this senseless shooting.

And this is news and warranted so much air time on Good Morning Britain and BBC Breakfast because?
Just seven weeks into 2018, there have been eight shootings at US schools that have resulted in injury or death. So why do the UK news media think we actually care, it is what the Americans lead the world in.

Have none of you been to America or been around Americans? Banning guns is like trying to ban cups of tea in the UK or wine in France, you can't do it, they're not interested, they'd rather die than have their guns taken away, you're literally having a pointless discussion every time this happens.

This is the truth of the matter, a good article in the Guardian today on how the NRA use the small amount of money (in the grand scheme of things) to very good effect.
Basically it boils down to them supporting gun friendly candidates in targeted areas (good o`id white folk) who get off the backsides and attend meetings etc.

While there is outcry everytime, very few people in America can be bothered to get off there arses and do something politically (attend meetings etc etc) APATHY RULES.

It doesn't, I have no idea as to why they think we care. I couldn't give a flying fig tbh.
