Could be a disgruntled shareholder from WSB who lost his life savings, or almost anything.

Would guess it is this one : Brügger & Thomet VP9, but was imported to the USA under this name : Station SIX-9

USA literally allow such a weapon to be bought legally as far as I can tell.
 
Doesn't look like a Welrod or the VP9. Looks like a badly setup semi auto pistol with a large suppressor. Seems to malfunction with each shot which requires the slide to be racked each time to clear it. If it was a Welrod or VP9 he'd be grabbing the rear of the pistol, twisting it while pulling it back and then pushing it back in. Video just shows someone pulling back on a slide. Possibly undergassed for the slide to operate fully, or even went with subsonic ammo as well as the suppressor which can be a mistake.

Apparently dropped 3 fired cases and 3 live rounds. It's common to lose rounds from a magazine when clearing malfunctions.

AFAIK this is the first time I can recall somebody being targeted, seemingly, for their involvement in medical insurance.

There are so many shootings in the US for so many random reasons (or none whatsoever) that I'm only surprised this hasn't happened before.

I mean, it is a whole lot of crazy over there.

But then, I guess the real reason won't be known until he's arrested. Assuming they don't shoot him first which is never a guarantee over there even if you call the police to you own home.

If senior NRA members/employees and all the poltiicians in america who support "gun rights" had to send their kids to the same schools as normal people, and had the same risk of their kids getting killed it would probably result in a few more of them in favour of some basic and effective controls, at least amongst those that actually care about their kids/grandkids/great grandkids.

Much the same way if the politicians and the insurance execs had to all use the most basic level of healthcare they provide, with the same systematic denial of cover that they deem good enough for everyone else, they'd probably end up with universal healthcare or at least a system that didn't default to saying "no" and hoping you died before you could appeal.
 
It’s just surprising that more of these terrible people who do terrible things aren’t targeted. Guess capitalism is so entrenched over there it muddies the water somewhat..
