I saw that this morning... I know a few of us posted some slightly flippant comments earlier about how it could be because of demonetisation or filtering content etc.. but WTF, it actually was something along those lines???? I'd have gone with disgruntled employee as the most probably, wonder how she even got into the youtube campus.
 
If ever there was a time to talk about Private-Public service, it's probably now. Youtube and more so Google have such a huge unmitigated effect on billions of people, it can't simply operate as a private business.

With what's going on with CA/Facebook, it's time for some regulations and to make it so such services aren't beholden to other perhaps unfortunate elements of private corporate life. (Though if it's anything like China's... ahem... social point system, then no that's not a solution)

If it's enough for someone to just shoot up the HQ of a silicon valley giant, then something's wrong, and not just because she's a crazed weirdo.

Right wing twitter is losing it over her social media accounts being closed, like they do for every shooter, because it “doesn’t fit the liberal bias”. They’re screaming coverup too because her name apparently isn’t trending on twitter when it clearly is.

How anyone can read their posts and believe a word they say is beyond me.
 
Also i kind of another point to bring up.

What is up with the US and Cultist mindsets that seem to pervade religious groups, vegans, LGBT, political parties and such? It's probably just the media culture that pushes this into the extreme, but there's something deeply wrong with American social structure if people cannot deal with problems without being part of some overbearing single-minded groupthink.
