Tomb Raider Thread

This is how you should reboot a series, i.e not turn an awesome character into some angsty emo with a smoking habit and a giant sextoy-scythe.
 
10 hours SP & forced MP what on earth have they been doing since the last game in 2008 this is looking worse & worse I cannot understand what they have done to this game to take so long as the gfx certainly do not show it.

This is looking like a disaster right now Tomb Raider has always been a lengthy SP experience 5 years to create 10 hours gameplay (according to the game brand producer) & a forced MP mode is not something which gives me much confidence at all :(

A quoted 10 hours seems fairly normal for a single player game these days. From the gameplay video posted above, it looks like there's a decent amount of additional exploration to do so I can see myself getting a lot more than 10 hours out of it in a single playthrough.

Other games in the series had around 40 hours + :rolleyes:
 
As it's progressed past the PS1 generation (for lack of better phrasing) they've really started to dwindle in scope. Sure, they look better and better and some of the features or pretty interesting (if not dumbed down...) but I'm really starting to worry when they're saying only 10 hours! That's terrible!
 
Must admit I'm tempted to pre order on steam. Dont care about the extra multiplayer map but the single player dlc will probably be about £7 on its own I would think and theres also the guardian of light game free.
