toob users, what router did you get given by them? Just been installed, they left me a Linksys Velop MX4200

Mine seems to be down here today. My other connection took over automatically so I haven't even noticed until just now so I'm not sure how long it's been off for. Anyone else having any issues? Service status of course reports nothing.

Edit: Scratch that, it was fine all along. I have a health monitor for each connection configured on my firewall so it knows when to switch the connection over. The IP I was using for my Toob monitor was the next-hop gateway, an IP ending in .21 which now no longer seems to respond to ping. My next hop gateway is also now a .20 address, so they've obviously changed something on the routing side of things. Easily fixed by changing my monitor to a different address.

I thought it weird that nobody seemed to be complaining on Facebook etc but it makes sense since it was a me issue :)

That's not bad. I've got Smarty and O2 options if my main WAN goes down, but tbh the speeds are rubbish. I'm still with Virgin as Toob seem to have stop the build in the Locks Heath, Park Gate, Segensworth areas.

The middle light on the ONT is red with the LED on the right green and left LED flashing green which I assume is the activity LED to the router. Looks like it's the fibre that's down. 2hr window live chat said for someone to investigate and call me back...

Engineer booked for 8-10am tomorrow as it does look like the fibre link from their box to ONT is the issue.

Thinking of switching to Toob from Virgin. Anyone have any issues with the CG-NAT? I don't game much, and don't need external access to home network.

My parents are on this type of connection, they don't have issues with CG-NAT, but they do have issues with the speed varying massively along with other issues.

I'm visiting them this week to have a further look and I also have a spare Unifi cloud ultra unit that I'll test with.

How long has Toob been installed where your parents are ?
They only just installed it here few months ago, (Waterlooville) Dunno if that means more teething troubles or better hardware put in.

Never really had any problem with Virgin, but the upload speed is pants in this day and age. Thinking of ditching the TV and whole package.

Dec 2023 circa if I recall. It's been ok.

Based on my Virgin price of £29 for 1000/100 connection, I'm not so fussed re Toob now and Virgin in my area certainly appears to be more reliable.
I'm looking at Virgin TV at £29 extra, but also some of the other options as Sky increasing TV from £45 to £90+. I cancelled after 17 years and have been told there won't be any further calls from retentions.
