Top 5 series of all time

thanks to this thread I've watched 4 episodes of Generation kill today...top work fellas. completely forgotten about it.

Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Shield, Big Bang Theory, Blackadder all get honourable mentions.
 
1. Red Dwarf (But sometimes you live, you die, and then you live again. I know, I've done it myself. NOW!)
2. Game Of Thrones
3. Star Trek(All except Voy I couldn't stand it mainly due to the fact they made the borg look like idiots except Seven who they made look hot which was It's one saving grace I suppose!)
4. Futurama (Simpsons can eat my shorts, Family Guy while it started out well has become too predictable, South Park getting to the end of it's tether now but Futurama is still as good as the day it was made and thankfully will finish before it gets stale!)
5. Ghost In the Shell S.A.C(Aside form the "comic relief" that were the Think-tanks t'was a damn good series the premise concerning the man-machine relationship and all the pro's and cons made damn interesting viewing beside all the action going on!)

Have never even seen the wire, but with so many people recommending it i am gonna try series one tonight.

I am currently watching sopranos which is decent, lost 'lost' interest after like series one for me.

Another thats worth a watch if you havent seen it is Fringe, if you like x-files you would probably enjoy it.

Hmm tough one. Since we can only have 5 its got to be 5 series that were great from start to finish.

Walking Dead and the Sopranos almost made it.

loads of others i could mention, but a lot just dragged on too long and ruined them after great opening series 24, heroes, lost, etc
