How at risk was Hammond doing 150mph in that BMW? If the suspension had failed could it have flipped the car?

I mean normally the beeb take quite hefty precautions with roll cages, helmets, neck supports. This seemed very careless in hindsight if the risk was actually there.

Unless they did the ADAC test before the high speed test..

I think the speedrun was done after the faults were found and were corrected but shown first so as to make us believe they had been in danger.
 
Even so, a tyre blowout at a 150mph would mess up your day. Not to mention the risk of traffic pulling out infront of you.
 
I may get flamed for this but did anybody else look at that show and think the Merc and Sierra Cossys looked much nicer than the 2 Porsches? tbh if I wanted a classic looking 911 I would buy a classic 911, 21st century porches just look like stretched beetles lol

Was flicking through a TV guide at work mistakenly thinking it was for this week and was mighty confused when it said Rubens was one of 2 SIARPC. Thought I must have missed it but it was in fact next weeks guide :o Three way test too, Aston Martin Rapide, Porsche Panamera and Maserati Quattroporte around the South of England. Is old new TopGear back? :D No complaints so far about the new series although the garden party for the Cee'd was nowhere near as good as it was for the Lacetti.
