Independance Day too!
6 episodes purely because of budgets I would think? I was thinking along the same lines before and couldn't come up with a reasonable explanation to myself of why they wouldn't film more episodes to potentially make more? :S

They can't afford it. FOM are ridiculously expensive to license footage from.
Considering Top Gear is one of most watched shows on the whole of BBC, if not the most watched show. EastEnders might top it. They should really loosen the purse strings. Instead, BBC comission some rubbish sitcoms / dramas which they axe after a series because no one watches them. Rev is a good show after long time BBC have made.

Thats unfair, twoblacklines photo was excellent, we all just pretended it was a bad photo because it wasnt of a BMW.
If only there were some way to directly transfer images from the iPhone to the web without needing to use a camera.
It does take quite a long time to make Top Gear - the ratio of footage shot per minute that makes it to air is about the highest on TV by quite a margin.
There was some stat that the original Bugatti Veyron film (the race), which was 32mins long, took 33 16 hour days to edit.

Indeed, imagine being able to connect your iPhone via the supplied USB lead, and dragging and dropping the photos directly from the iPhone's memory, because it reports itself to windows as a digital camera.

Usually this is what i do but that doesn't work from photos received via MMS.
Tap on image in MMS, hit the 'arrow' in the bottom left, save it to a folder. Do as above. Job done.
