They didn't draw to the numberplates at all or even put the number plates on the camera shot that much either. If that's what you're referring to.

Apart from the moment where Jezza said that they wouldn't be getting into trouble this time and that he'd 'grown up' with H982FKL glaringly obvious in the background on his Porsche. In the usual sarcastic top gear style.

Seeing those cars (particularly the Esprit) being treated like that was a little saddening and slightly ruined it for me, I spent the whole thing hoping that they don't break them too much...

I did laugh when Jeremy was driving by the windows making noises, and quite enjoyed the episode apart from the cow, sad to kill an animal and use it for a short piece of entertainment.

Technically the whole ruckus is Hammond's fault with his insistence that they cross back into Argentina. If they'd have stayed in Chile would it still have kicked off? :D

It's TV, the whole thing is storyboarded and then the director gets the shots to fulfil what the producer intended and then the editors choose the best footage, soundtracks and edit them together with transitions to keep you 'absorbed'.

what about when Clarkson pushed the car into shot then they talked about the war and the camera shot them all talking about it with the car+plate prominent in shot where it didnt need to be.

Or when they were stuck in the bog field and Clarkson went to push Hammond out the way, wasn't even touching the car yet they put the plate into shot. If he had been nudging him how he should have been right on his bumper and we wouldn't have seen it.

I doubt it was killed specifically for the show, probably loaned as a prop from somewhere that was slaughtering them any way and where they also bought the steaks from.

It's a licence plate, of course you're going to see it a lot on a car show. You only really notice it because it's been pointed out.

I quite enjoyed it but more for the cars than the presenters. Lovely burble from the Porsche when he was circling the house and that Esprit was hilarious in the bog/swamp :)

OMG !! A licence plate being seen on a car show. We must alert the village elders !! :p

Seriously tho, maybe we'll never really know the truth, no point in thinking about it.

Although a HUGE Top Gear fan, I might be becoming a bit jaded with the 'specials'.
Buy a falling apart car and drive somewhere rough.... repeat !!

For me, the best ones are when they branch out. Vietnam, Cambodia and North Pole are by far the best.

I know it may sound daft but certainly the way it was edited and the way Clarkson was trying to prove innocence on twitter etc last night just seems a bit to obvious for me. Still it was ok, same old same like you say.

Episode was a bit MEH tbh, was just 3 guys trashing 3 cars which tbh atleast one of them (Lotus) should be getting looked after not beaten down dirt roads, bit sad really.

Yeah if it wasn't for the scenery and 1-2 better bits it would have been very poor.
