I suppose bentleys image needs a touch up, especially after the way Balotelli butchered his. Poor car.

Pagani section was ok, Star in Car was meh, Bentley section was great, Clarkson trying to be funny was awful, it was just the Peel P50 rehashed with some stupid quad bike thing, half an hour on that was far too long, should have been 5 minutes at the most.

Lots of manufacturer 'demo' cars are left hand drive, just look at a lot of the stuff featuring the McLaren MP4-12C or Lotus Evora. There are quite a considerable number of motoring programmes and magazines on mainland Europe and the smaller companies may not be able to stretch to both LHD and RHD.

Clarksons P45 bit made me almost fall asleep as he really isn't that funny without Hammond and May to bounce off. Everything else was cracking though!

Rallying Bentley was great. P45 was boring. Pagani piece was ok. Business as usual from TG, but with their viewing figures you can understand why they don't want to change it.

apart from that it was ok,gimme the old top gear aka quentin wilson,steve berry anyday

It's one of the BBC's most popular shows and gets sold to networks all over the world. I imagine it makes far more money for the BBC than it costs.

They are showing the xmas special in this series somewhere.

Well it's been a while, but you can relax. Top Gear telly's back! As you may well have read in your brand spanking new Top Gear magazine, we're currently due to return to BBC Two at 8pm on January 27! And guess what? You're getting the long-awaited Christmas Special thrown into this series, too, which is inexplicably scheduled for transmission in, erm, early 2013...

I thought the show was pretty good, although agree that the P45 section went on a bit long.

I thought the SIARPC was better than a lot of the more recent ones because we didn't have a non interested celeb pushing their latest drivel on us.

It was actually 11 minutes - I checked on second viewing as it did go on a bit. The on the road part was hilarious, but the dragons den part could have been shortened.

I think a lot of people moan about TG because it is a great show marred by a few negative aspects. The places they go and things they do are sometimes amazing, and the banter between the three presenters is entertaining, but the scripting is, at times, utterly painful, and this can spoil the audience's immersion. It remains one of the best shows on TV, with fantastic photography, and there's precious little for men on, anyway!

I'm a bit bored of the constant conveyor belt of super cars, though. However, I know this is TOP gear, and they will never go away.

I found my sell laughing so hard at Jeremy in his P45... Scripted or not, that was some funny **** right there!

In reality, there is only so much you can do with a program involving cars. Top Gear do it well and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season!

I love stuff like the P45 feature. I found the whole thing amusing and didn't think at 11 minutes it was too long at all.

Infact controversially I prefer it to the pure car on the track bits. ie the Pagani. I've no interest in that really, sure its quite cool but I'm never going to own one myself. And for cars I do have a prospect of owning I don't care about that either as I can drive it myself and see what its like.

For me, the enjoyment in TG is the random stuff like rallying with a Bentley, the challenges and the ridiculous slapstick comedy sections. It's just fun.

The episode seemed to be exactly the same as a lot of the previous episodes but I liked them and I liked this episode. Yes it has its faults IMO but to fix them I am sure would alienate even more people so as long they keep making it like they are I will be happy.

Not read the previous few pages so might of been mentioned but looked like they got Hamilton back as the SIARPC, maybe to try and finally set his F1 driver dry lap?

i did watch it and like top gear,but you do have to be a millionaire to appreciate the show,esp with the high end cars they review,it is a bit over rated imo and hammond becomes more annoying with each series,he'd be ok if he'd stop trying to be funny

Im sure one of the Dragon's Den boss swore twice saying **** too? I was laughing so much when Jeremy was putting 'petrol' in the bin at the petrol station! Also when he turned his quad bike on in the library!! It wasnt too long I found, just right

Yep, I had that feeling too.

Shame that they don't do any car features on normal roads these days either. It's just blatting those ridiculous cars up and down the track. Understandable given you'd probably never get out of second gear, even on a motorway, but still.
