Top Gear: Series 19

The Pagani feature was weak I thought, the ones which were already done ages ago by Chris Harris and Evo are both much more interesting IMO.

i did watch it and like top gear, but you do have to be a millionaire to appreciate the show, esp with the high end cars they review

That's odd, last time I checked I'm not a millionaire and I can appreciate it just fine.

Perhaps there's an unheard of channel on Sky featuring reviews of the latest Hyundai hatchback or Fiat whatever-the-hell that you can enjoy instead.

For me, the enjoyment in TG is the random stuff like rallying with a Bentley, the challenges and the ridiculous slapstick comedy sections. It's just fun.

+1

I was surprised just how short the p45 bit was. Kept glancing at the clock thinking 'i'm sure that's meant to be this episode..'

The pagani bit only really got boring because it was Hammond and he's really not funny or interested at all compared to james and Jeremy

You know it. Just wait until the GT86 is shown, the Dubai lot will be frothing at the month for such an expensive machine.

Write a letter to Top Gear suggesting they test a diesel Astra v a diesel A3, sounds like a winner.

I love stuff like the P45 feature. I found the whole thing amusing and didn't think at 11 minutes it was too long at all.

Infact controversially I prefer it to the pure car on the track bits. ie the Pagani. I've no interest in that really, sure its quite cool but I'm never going to own one myself. And for cars I do have a prospect of owning I don't care about that either as I can drive it myself and see what its like.

Well bloody said, we have the likes of Chris Harris for proper car reviews and 5th gear tend to do a decent job of that side of things. I can't wait till the ep where they tackle the Nile.

Richard Hammond comes across as trying too hard to me. Jeremy seems to still be hismself, which is no bad thing, and James May has grown with every series into a very enjoyable presenter.

I think it would be funny if TG randomly did a review like how they used to on some new car. Perhaps one of the new Korean superminis. No ridiculous "can it outrun a baddie in a corvette in a shopping centre" but downright boring review. Talk about bootspace against it's rivals, interior legroom dimensions, g/km and mpg.

Oh and make it the last clip in a season. Would drive the fans mad trying to figure out if it's the new direction TG is going in. :D

I agree with this, I have no interest in the super cars going round the track, I really dont care.

What I want are rubbish car challenges, trips abroad, stupid races, and stupid inventions.

Shove the super car testing.

As for testing cars I can affordzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Indeed. I thought the P45 thing was hilarious and good on Jeremy for taking it to the places he did, especially a motorway.

I thought the funniest bit was the news and James May's comment about Richard Hammond looking like Toad from The Wind in the Willows. :)

I hope the GT86/hot-hatch segment is better than the Pagani one though.

I can see today's being another good show. The NY one last year was fantastic, the US special prior to that was also very good.

Vegas to Palm Springs this time; most looking forward to seeing the new Vanquish in action.

Yep tonight 8pm. Really looking forward to this one as I love the other specials. :)

Top Gear
Season 19 Episode 2 of 7
The trio of motoring enthusiasts embark on another epic road trip, this time across western America in front-engined supercars. Jeremy Clarkson pilots the Lexus LFA, which has a spectacularly high-revving V10 powerplant, Richard Hammond gets behind the wheel of the muscular Dodge Viper, and James May opts for the latest incarnation of Aston Martin's Vanquish. On their journey from Las Vegas to Palm Springs via Los Angeles, the presenters tackle racing circuits and find themselves in a race against the police, before rushing to the Mexican border - and there's a terrifying penalty for the last man to arrive. Meanwhile, Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood rolls up his sleeves to thrash the Reasonably Priced Car
