Wasn't really expecting this sort of silly modification from the special. It's expected from the normal episodes for funny challenges but the specials normally seem a bit more serious, the modifications are often slightly amusing but vaguely purposeful...

Botswana special, Vietnam special, Middle east special, Bolivia special, US special, India special...

The only one where they haven't 'modified' the cars is the Polar special iirc... and thats because it was pre-modded.

I didn't say they never modified them before, just that it isn't usually as daft as putting a wooden library in the car

Do we think they put special tyres on them? My 850 gets hopelessly stuck at the mere sight of some mud, wouldn't move at all in those conditions....
