Top Gear: Series 19

I'm surprised Jeremy didn't get a Galant/Legnum VR-4 - he's spoken highly of them in the past (although has probably forgotten about them now...) - and you can easily pick them up for £1500.

Although - they do have a FWD, a RWD and a 4WD - I imagine that was planned.

A good episode I thought, and waiting for next week :)

The Impreza Wagons are tough! The only downside is the size of their boot, but the seats fold so it does give some more space. Very solid cars and easy to drive, the 4wd is awesome. I would purchase one again, a turbo model this time. It would have to be standard though, the noise from my previous one was unbearable on long journeys.

That's because you had a big fart can on an NA car. The turbo is quite good at calming the booming down.

I don't know where they pick them up from, I've yet to find a £1,500 WRX imprezza for sub £2k never mind £1.5k

They were all in mint condition too considering their mileage, alloys looked impeccable, paintwork impeccable (bar the blistering on the scooby bonnet).

And they have managed to travel around many countries in Africa across some horrible terrain and nothing has broke so far (apart from bodywork, and a few electrical faults on the beemer)...

In the past they've picked them up from police auctions or something like that - not prices you will find everyday.

Correction: you've yet to see a WRX being offered for less than £2k. Bear in mind that you'll struggle to get a decent price selling a car like that because people just aren't buying them. And being a Wagon knocks several hundred quid off the value as well, because the only people who are buying are the boy racer crowd, and they want a saloon. Car adverts are not an accurate reflection of actual car selling prices, just a reflection of optimism.

Anyone else thought that when Hammond binned the spare wheel that he might end up regretting it at some point? I do expect that to bite him in the backside when he least expects it this Sunday. :D

Id bet money on it (as they showed it at the end of the last episode :P).
