BBC news say:

"The eclipse begins at 2018 GMT, with the Moon totally immersed in the shadow of the Earth between 2244 and 2358 GMT."

Just been outside messing around with the camera and got a few - any tips on how to impove would be welcome. Only got 70-300mm lens so not too close but not bad. Cropped to fit screen, see what you think.

I've come home from Uni this weekend because my family are throwing a sort of lunar party :\

You could call it sad I guess, but it's free booze :p

It's a bit blurred. Did you use a tripod? If you can't use a tripod, up the ISO and the shutter speed.

Same here. Great clear skies and a standard moon at this very moment, I keep staring waiting for something to change.

I never watch any astronomical or weather related phenomenon after seeing Day of the Triffids as a child. Scare the pants off me.

If you watch it you will go blind.
