Total Lunar Eclipse - Saturday 3rd March

This is great, I wish I had a telescope! I'm in a high up point in Bristol can have an awesome view! I was quite tempted to pop down to the physics department to get on there roof they must have some telescopes up there!

Cant load page. Bet its being hammered..:(

I had it up for about a minute, its dead now though. :(

If I had the damn charger for my PDA I could go sit in the lounge, but alas, I don't :/

(Its all about mashing F5 to see new OcUK posts) :-o

Anyone know the area around Port Lympne zoo enough for me to brag about the view I have? :p

Nice clear view here, shame it's a bit chilly out, what time will it be completely, err, covered/gone/eclipsed whatever?

Anyone else doing what im doing?

Im camped outside my house in the middle of nowhere, no light pollution, with a great pair of binoculars and wireless internet on my laptop. Covered in blankets and drinking a beer :D

Posting on behalf of dave2k2005:

"I'm tryin to find the moon, for the solar eclipse, can anyone help?"

Thanks in advance.

Just fwiw, but when looking at the moon, if you travel from the 1 o'clock position, what looks to be the second star out is actually saturn. If you have binoculars you'll see the elongated shape due to the rings & if you have a telescope you probably knew that already. :p

just popped back out into the garden and crikey it's getting very dark out there, even in the middle of town, shame the only camera I have is on my K800.

Had the scare of my life then!

Walked out of work at 9pm and saw a beautiful full moon in a clear starlit sky.

Had something to eat, a brew and happened to look out the window while getting changed at about 9:45pm and to my horror saw a cloud filled sky with the moon peeking through

Lukily for me in the last few mins the clouds have moved on and its now another beautiful half moon in a clear ish starlit sky :D
