Jol took over halfway through a season too. Ramos' part-season record is better than Jol's part-season record. There's cause to be optimistic. 5th/6th optimistic, not 3rd optimistic though. :p

And who cares how many goals you concede when you're putting 5 past teams. ;)

Ramos was in a strange position of having nothing to play for and under ZERO pressure in terms of results. He was just experimenting and looking at the players. Results meant sod all really...

When it counted he came up with the goods, like putting 5 past your sorry lot ;)

Spurs arent going to get anywhere close to the top 4 next season, thats a given...they can only dream of CL football...in the meantime they can play all the UEFA football they want...not like anyone really pays any attention to the poor mans CL:D:D

Dont see why people are going crazy over santos, none of the big clubs in spain were after him and barca let him go for less than 5 million? hardly the sign of a world class talent, more than likely barca let him go because hes way overhyped

dos Santos was within his last 12 months of his contract. He was refusing to sign a new deal because he was upset with Rikjaard leaving and wasnt keen on working under Guardiola because he had no managerial experience at a top club. Therefore Barca decided to sell him, they would never sell to Real unless forced and in this instance they didn't need to.

Also, his transfer is not just £5m it raised to £11m depending on certain clauses being met by both the player and the club. Pretty much the same deal that took Walcott to Arsenal and the majority of other teenage players these days.

Spurs were dreaming when they thought Eto'o was going to sign for them. Eto'o would only sign for a tob club i.e. Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea, he's a great player and will be playing CL football not UEFA.

Best you can hope for is 5th, you just don't have the quality in depth for the whole seasons campaign. A couple of injuries and you will be in trouble, and tbh, I really don't think you are as good as Everton, let alone the Scousers or the Gooners

Actually Jol's points per game in the premiership is better if you look at it their first 'part' season. And Jol had a much inferior squad, if I recall didn't you spuds publically state that 'our squad is good enough for champions league this season'? Im pretty sure it was posted on your website.

Spurs are just a wannabe Chelsea. Throwing money at Ramos, throwing money at players, publically humiliating their manager after he does a good job.

Ramos isnt any better than Jol. He has had the option of using hutton, woodgate and king thats 3/4 of your defence which jol never had the option of this season. you still let in loads of goals, berbatov still sulks like a baby (I thought he had fallen out with Jol, so why is he still moaning), your players aren't any fitter.. Its all fake PR to justify the way Jol was treated

I hope you get relegated after the way you treated Jol and the way you now bad mouth him now hes gone. little do you realise that the reason why you are getting too big for your boots is because of where jol took you
 
whats more with JOl is that he was someone in football who was a proper fan, people like him are rare. Even other teams fans like Jol, everyone thought his interviews were quality, and the way he publically hated arsenal and wenger. He obviously loved Spurs and yet you treated him like crap.

hope he comes back with hamburg and smashes you 4-0, that will make me laugh
