Toyota Yaris GR4 4x4 Rally going into production.....

 got a source on that? My 2nd Safety Check is due September, wonder if I book it now it'll stay current price. Don't want to buy a service pack as I'll probably sell the car this year.

Yes Toyota:
Interim service cost goes from £190 to £300
Major service from £345 upto £500 plus

Toyota are essentially making all GR's the same servicing cost, equal to that of the Supra, maybe the technicians are getting a payrise or maybe it is just additional profits for Toyota but either way they are going up next month.....

Any Toyota dealership can confirm this.

Yikes that's a shame, big increase that.

Hence buy the service plan whilst at the old pricing. ;)

£1130 for 4 services is like £275 per service average, bargain! :)

Don't even have to pay anything today, my service plan first £200 is Sept, then £200 November and then £25 a month for 30 months, its interest free so well worth doing and saves around £500 by doing so.

It has always been a major at £375 since at least April 2021. As that is when my dealership confirmed pricing before I collected my GR.

The interim is the service that went from £165 to £190.

Still July, price increase in next month and I think major service will be £500

Yes, but its been at least £375 for well over a year. Before todays ups.

I mean at least the major is "only" £450 now. It is almost worth having a 4yr/48k service every year for £150 extra than just a bog standard oil change at £300.

Paying £75 for Toyota to walk round your car, check the floor mats are fitted and you have tyre tread, is a right con.

That is why when I took the service pack out I just paid for 2x interim and 2x major services, £1130 total, which based on todays rates would be £1500, so a £370 saving. I did not bother with safety checks because like you say they are just a CON and I can do it myself and they have no impact on the warranty.

Some owners have actually taken much longer plans out according to the GR forums, one guy claimed he has a plan in place for 8 years at the old prices, knowing myself and my track record I'd be surprised if I keep it for much more than another year.

Hi there

No idea is this is an admission of them building more but the prices have increased again:

GRCP.JPG

WBAC up £1000 to £30,700 on mine with 11,500 miles, cannot be bother to check others but used values seem to mirror the price increase on new, great for owners. :)

Prices close to £30k now. Several at ~£32k.

How much was this with the circuit pack, when new?

Paid £33,500 for ours, it will be two years old in March at which point I shall pay off the remaining balance from the interest FREE loan. On 12,300 miles now and WBAC valuations around 29k.
It has cost less than a grand in servicing cost, has had zero issues and has not consumed any consumables as of yet.

Its cost around 40p per mile in depreciation and servicing, seems pretty decent for a brand new car. :)

Excellent car!

Makes life a whole load easier. So basically look for the lowest mileage one I can afford in any colour other than black

In short yes, just make sure no servicing has been missed as that the 10 year warranty is intact. Also I'd personally aim for a car with 5000+ miles will give you more bargaining power as personally I'd be inclined to say:
Sub 1000 miles = 34-35k
1000-3000 miles = 32-33k
5000+ miles = 30-31k
10,000+ miles = 29-30k
15,000+ miles = 27-28k
25,000+ miles = 25-27k

The above is roughly trade price, but if your buying private you want to be buying close to trade or at trade to get yourself a good buy, plenty on the market and they are all the same and market is now favouring buyers over sellers, be aggressive especially as for some they need the cash due to cost of living.

Taking me ages to get around sorting this, but found a Circuit Pack in Black, 6k miles, it's at a dealership elsewhere so my local is getting it brought upto them. It's priced at £33860, it's 1 owner. Would you say that's about right price wise? They are not interested in a deal, it's a cash sale so I could go private? I did find one on eBay cheaper, same miles but it is a 2 owner car and that puts me off a bit to be honest. Thoughts on this please?

Why does amount of owners put you off?

These cars have 10 year warranty so just buy the car that represents best value and it’s a Toyota and so far been no major issues reported and I think a few owners are on 40k plus miles now trouble free.

So I’d buy any car upto three owners, upto 20,000 miles for about £30,000 as long as it’s a circuit pack and with full service history and thus warranty intact what difference does 1 or 2 owners make or 5000 or 10,000 miles, buy what feels like a good deal and don’t go paying a dealer margin, buy private.

Hi there

Shall be trying to order one for sure, a manual of course.

My predictions for price is the manual will be £36,950 base and the automatic £38,950

Think if we get an allocation it shall be a manual in the new grey colour and as many options we can select if there is any.

Looks like a great upgrade to an already amazing car so if we get one we shall be selling our current GR.

Wow, just saw the car wow vid and looks a nice evolution.. and the auto would be perfect for me due to nerve damage, plus auto just makes life easy when not on the boil.. I love how they’ve tweaked the auto for fast changes etc, should not be losing out much..

If they have done a good job it will be great, I’ve never really got this whole DCT VS torque converter thing as a good auto with good software can be practically as good in manual mode but so much better in AUTO.

My Jaguar F Type SVR was practically as quick as any PDK/DCT box in manual mode it was so good but then had the advantage that it was far better as an automatic. I’d hope Toyota have done just as good a job.

€46-51k in France for the new Yaris

I think base manual with be £39,500 plus options and 43-44k fully loaded for a manual and upto 46k for an auto with all options.

Shall be pre ordering the moment they go live. :)

Hi there

So as the base price on the manual is expected to be just under the 40k bracket, when it comes to road tax does the government take the cars base price or with options price when it comes to road tax?

I don't mind paying the 39-42k for the car but won't be happy about paying £600 in road tax per year for it, pay less for the McLaren.....

I take it unlike the the pre facelift these come with mechanical diffs as standard?

44,250 does seem a lot. 10+k uplift in pricing compared to 3 years ago does seem a bit mental though.

It might be more yet, we paid £33,500 for ours and on 0% too. The car also came on the BBS alloys and as such there was no optional extras.

The MK2 the BBS alloys are no longer standard and are a 2k option, the JBL infotainment though can now be optioned and is around £1200 with grey paint around £800. Unless the UK cars are going to be fully loaded and the only options like last time, essentially pick a colour, if this is the case then I don't think the price is that bad, a 10k increase pretty much in line with inflation and one would hope the improvements can easily be felt behind the wheel to make it worthwhile, jury out on that one though.

All in most are going to be 47k with options, some near 50k, so its a circa 15k price increase.

If I get invited to buy one, we probably will still do so.

Hi there

It is a good source I am informed for £44,250 gets you a fully loaded car, so includes the BBS wheels etc.
As per last time UK will go for efficiency and as such the only options shall be transmission and colour.

So a grey manual car will come at £45,170 which is what I shall go for if get drawn from the ballot. As to what it will have exactly is a little unknown but it will have the BBS wheels, along with wireless Apple Car Play, but unsure if UK cars get JBL or not, I just see six speakers which I know the stock stereo has, 2 door speakers, 2 rear speakers and 2 tweeters, so guessing UK cars won't get JBL.

I guess it is down to the UK market been one of their best and as such they have to streamline the process a bit more by not allowing too many options, so in short we get to pick colour along with transmission.

I am tempted to sell my Mk1. Hardly used it 72 plate done 2k miles. Just haven't had the time to complete the mid life crisis.

Does look like i will pretty much be able to get what i paid for it.

Contrary to dreamers I only see the MK2 helping MK1 values but as with any car if you can get out of it for what you paid, you might as well do so, you got to enjoy those 2000 miles and it was pretty much free motoring.

Once MK2 hits, the shortages set in and people start asking overs the demand for MK1 will increase and the values will remain strong this year, but I suspect once MK2 supply improves and they start depreciate that is when MK1 values will be hit harder.

Done nearly 19,000 miles in ours and it is now over 3 years old, if I was to sell it today I'd expect 26-27k for it, WBAC offers hover around 25k. So in all fairness in over three years it has only depreciated by around 20-25% and has cost little to nothing to run. Great little car!

Interesting it says available exclusively to current owners and people who joined the waitlist before closure... but not necessarily people who bought the previous model and have since sold it on?

Yep had the same email today, shall be entering my name for the ballot next month and then see if we get one. :)
