Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Okay thanks. I just have a standard index fund directly with Vanguard. I don't have a huge amount in there but obviously want to make it as tax efficient as possible. Should I have created this within a S&S ISA? I may have to speak with Vanguard on this.
Yes it should be in a S&S ISA if you haven't already used this years £20k limit.

I think it'll get a lot of attention, price will be very high by the time you get to it, then it'll tank when ppl return to reality.

Yeah for the average investor it's a complete gamble.
It'll be highly volatile. No doubt the hype will cause exactly what you say.
A huge open.. Then some selling immediately.

It'll yo-yo about before settling down a bit.

Buy ARM in a lull, surely theres enough bad news
Thoughts on ARM US IPO? Had an email from HL to say they are expecting $47-51 a share.
I preferred when it was 200p on LSE, I dont know what market cap that was to really compare. Same as any IPO theres a good chance it can fall back if the market itself takes that tone, that would be the time to buy it ideally. Cant say when or if that occurs.

FRES IPO 539p was 100p the next year and in 3 years 2000p, that was an established company also but a volatile commodity market in the midst of a recession

Can BP regain the year highs

Bought at 45.7p now 156.6p

Just left most of my holdings sitting for last 6-9 months - Long term money so not that bothered.
Think I had FGP at 200p years ago they owned Greyhound right, good till they werent not sure why. Theres a clear space in volume upto like 180 or 200 then if holdings from 14 years ago matter it could be slower progress possibly, who knows

Must have been some good news. Had a few 5pc increase in a day pings from my ISA account. Had a look. 9/10 in the green.

Just been pouring into S&P for the last few months. Rivian is back up again, probably need to rebalance that one. All a hit flat over summer as usual, expect a bit more action in the next couple months......

That's fairly significant!

Woke up this morning to an alert of aviva.

"change of +5pc in a trading day"

Checked and up 10pc on a take over rumour from Allianz.

Quite possible. Av is broadly measured as undervalued by many analysts.

At 45 percent of my entire portfolio.. This is very welcomed!

45% on a single stock! Risky that, hope its a decent amount then ;)

Its because it's grown and grown. And divs have gone back in.
I bought AV in 2020 with all I had left after buying house. It's stagnated lately but from 2020 to 2022 ish it nearly doubled.
