Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

I'm tempted by Rockhopper seeming as it's dipping in price at the moment.

well they are refuting the claims that the well might not be as rich...

tempting but then i have already taken lots of profit.... think i might stick with what i have.

Nothing bad in the RKH RNS. Nothing unexpected. You have to be conservative in CPRs and it's *good* that Sealion is complex and barely-tested. Hold tight :D

a technical report scheduled to be published by the end of the year won't now be published until the second half of 2011 because its consultants told it that if the report was produced today the resource estimate would be about 30% lower than 242 million barrels.

Desire and Rockhopper are basically just gambling, u might as well stick the money on red in a Casino.

Anyway I'm in on Desire @ 135p, I had short on Monday when they were 160p, price still seems too high for a company that actually has NO oil, but oh well.

Well there is a reason you shouldn't read any of these rumour boards like II. There was a reason why I was short on Desire - its got no oil, no production and absolutely nothing with a market cap of £600m (or was), yet a company like Soco International is £1bn with potentially 400m barrels added to reserves in the coming week and predicted 55,000 bpd output for next year.

Yet somehow reading that II board I convinced myself to close my short position and go for a long one.

Gone back in with ROK but with less money than before, so don't mind the risk so much now. Oddly as soon as it went through it went up £120 (after duty and fees).. timing or what :)
