Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Not sure why I've never bothered to post on this topic yet... but anyway....

here's what I am in just now.

RRL
SXX
BIOM
RBS
WLF
OTC (fail recently on these guys sadly, hoping it goes back up)
BAO

Watching and tempted to buy into:

NTOG
DRG

Lucky I hold so little of RRL or I'd be tempted to sell it. :o I allready dumped my rainy day type extra RRL shares now just got the boring long term holding.

Maybe my junior oil investment fund is finally buying into the story and I'm more invested then I realise, hopefully

I had 91% return the other day, now its showing 177%

with 1,162.167306 m shares and a 17p bid that makes the company valued at 197m which is starting to get mid sized now, its not a tiddler.
Turning more into a GKP type value ascent, you need big money to be interested for that kind of value to hold so maybe we see a RNS on declared holding or not.
GKP I think has gigantic potential and RRL doesnt compare to that and we're 7 months away from any hint on somalia, is Georgia that big

Offer price is 17.25p which makes for a fairly competetive spread of 1% Price just came down to 16.75/17

Range volume has quintupled the daily average. It was 23m a hour or so ago and now its 100m shares traded or about 10% of float.

For those who've mentioned CGT concerns, look into a Self-Select Equity ISA, and also SpreadBetting.

SpreadBetting enables you to go short and/or leverage, but more importantly for newbies, any gains are exempt from CGT. (note, any losses cannot be offset against future CGT bills either).

I have an Self-Select ISA with iii, and a SpreadBetting account with IG Index.

:)

I was long in LLOY at 52.5p, closed at 73p = 20.5p
Went short at 73p, closed at 65p = 8p
Went short again at 67p, closed at 63.5p = 3.5p

Total profit in LLOY = 32p

Added another long tranche in RKH on weakness pre results yesterday at 349.75p, which turned out to be badly timed... :( Other tranches at 324.78p and 299.7p, average = 324.74p

Fingers crossed for some good news on the current drill in the next few days!

Recently i have sold out of most of my investments leaving me with a fair bit of cash sitting around earning a miserable rate of interest. What is on peoples watch list at the moment, any comments on your level of expertise would be ace as well :D

CNR - currently oversold IMVHO. Expertise - very little really, but I am up 150% in 8 months. :D

Whats the long term predicted outcome for RRL? I'm currently sitting in +200% profit but don't need to 'pull out'

Worth staying in?

looks decent long term - you will get short term profit takers over next day or so with a 30% rise in SP.

Me - i've cut and run with my original stake on RRL and sitting on free shares now so i'm happy. I've always tried to get out my original stake once any shares go over 100% as I can then reinvest the money elsewhere.
