took a punt on central china gold (GGG) when i did a bit of reading and saw that the main director upped his stake by 3m shares.

starting to pay off!!

have shares in FOGL (falklands oil and gas) who have rights to the south of the islands....

maybe i should buy some des too?

I just sold my JSG which I have had for a year and put it in DES.

I dropped BP for RKH in the end. My fingers are crossed for another +50% open on Monday from a massive media furore over the weekend!

Took a dive into LDP today, due to rock bottom prices, confusion over permits in the gulf and rising gas prices (63% LDP production is gas), let's see how things pan out in the next few weeks.

Quickly got out of BP with small loss and moved into DES @ 100p.

Invested around the 3k mark this week (only opened my account the other day) currently my account is in the black which is pleasing

Not a lot. A thousand and a bit RKH shares and a few other bits and pieces that aren't worth much at all between them.

It's more something to do than anything else

(and I'm a poor unemployed bum, so I can't be throwing too much around!)

Guys, I got home too late, was going to get some more DES and RKH shares today. Bad idea to buy after market close?? Is it better to wait until Monday morning?

Better to wait yes. I think if you patient you could maybe pick up some shares at a better price on a down day rather than buy at the currant prices.

I sold all my bank shares and was 3k up and 'started again'

Currently got a decent amount in 12 different stocks. Some green by a bit, some very red (HMV:S and LLOY).

I started about 2 years ago with a few trades in oil (my employer) as I had a good idea where peaks were, took cash out of an ISA. Then I got in and out of Barclays many times which made me enough to pay for my Pioneer TV.

Since then Ive just built up over time with bits of spare cash and work bonuses. Amazed it got so high really - now just to sit and wait it out I guess.

Crap banks day today too

About £30K in total. Just over half in GVC on AIM (Doing damn well out of that seeing as I only invested £6K or so there).

Do you guys do anything but oil/ exploration? I am in ROK a little (at a loss) but, but looking at selling off one of my dogs (In the share-not-animal-context) and picking up a few thousand shares there.

Anyone else in? Looks very good value at the moment.

Keeping an eye on NPE at the moment, shares are looking good value. They hit oil on Thursday, next RNS is out in 10 days and these shares are valued at over £3, currently at £1.11.

£4k in shares (only started with share purchases about 6 months ago)/£6k in various unit trusts.

GWP is still looking very good long term value. Due to get license for the first every cannabis based drug for MS shortly. Shares had a broker upgrade recently as well.

Cheers matey, i'm in the Oil & Gas industry so i'm just sticking with what i know at the moment, hoping for some big gains on rising gas prices.

I'm looking into Range Resources at the moment, just read a very interesting PDF about future prospects, they have the right to the "Paradise Oil Fields", need to read into it more but talks about a 500% return if things come off, around 5p a share at the moment.

Aye I've been looking at Range also, along with Rockhopper if it looks like they will continue their rise. And maybe adding to my Desire shares?

Hopefully will make up for my losses when NRK went down!

Its going to be an interesting one to get into, hopefully i will have chance to buy on Monday morning before things start moving, i was going to sink some more money into RKH but at 319 ask i'm not so sure, the shares may dip when some people start taking profit out.
