Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Just tried signing up to x-o, rejected because of Experian! No debt, regular salary... Am I right in thinking it'll be because I don't have a credit card?

What was the actual reason on your credit report that you were declined for? I assume you have a decent credit rating anyway via mobile contracts or similar?

Settlement period is basically when the cash exchanges. Also known as a t-date or trade date. 3 days is usual and often incurs no extra cost. Longer t-dates incur extra costs as it allows a trader to get into a share, take profits and get back out again without actually having any cash change hands.

Not sure why its there when you have to pay up front with them anyway

It didn't say, which is the annoying part. Actually, reading it again:

"I'm afraid that we have been unable to verify the personal details you submitted and we will not, therefore, be able to open an account for you.

We use an electronic verification system supplied by Experian so please contact them if you would like further information regarding the details they hold on your behalf.

Yours sincerely, Client Services"

It might not actally be because if credit. Damn thing

Lots of talk about KEA on the boards. Gonna have a little investigation but everyone thinks its gonna be another gkp/rkh... the kinda shares I love! Small punt might be worth it as they seem to think the risk is low.

Could be interesting. What do you think is a good price to buy at on this one?
