Doesn't make what I said any less true.

It could also be argued he was a last minute panic buy attempt (before Fellaini).

Of course it does, do you think Herrera was on your radar before Moyes was in charge? Course he wasn't. Moyes had been following him when he was at Everton.

Wenger is thinking about using chambers at RB, CD, or DM.

Maybe he will play jenkinson at RB cover and use chambers for DM and CD?

Campbell only has two seasons left on contract, sending him out again could see him running his contract out. Rumoured we were interested in brazil costa, if we got him, Campbell would be loaned.

I'd like to see him, we also have gnaby who looked promising in spells.

It wouldn't surprise me if Wenger uses him as CB or CDM, I don't see the point in buying Debuchy then paying 16 million for his understudy when they still have Jenkinson, maybe this is Wengers alternative to splashing out on Khedira or a CB, either way they now have a established international right back and in chambers a future international right back (or cb) Arsenal have made some good signings and with everybody fit Iam looking forward to see how they perform this season (I'm a MU fan btw, not a gooner) also I'm interested in seeing if Daniel Crowley breaks into the squad this season, they could have a real Jewel with this kid

Had he? Pretty sure we'd been linked to him when Fergie was in charge too.

Nope...go look on google mate! I remember it quite clearly what Moyes had said about the guy when he first arrived. He'd been watching him for years and was huge fan of his.

Can't see anything about it. I'd say it's more likely he was targeted by our scouts. And I know for a fact SAF was very impressed with him when he played against us.

What are we actually arguing about?

Moyes didn't sign him. He has nothing to do with Moyes disastrous spell at United. Not everything Moyes did was bad. He signed Mata which I will always be thankful for.

All the damage under Moyes will have been undone I think was the comment about Fellaini leaving and thats pretty much true bar the fact we are not in Europe this season.

Well, we activated a release clause to buy him. Moyes wouldn't have had a bearing on that, other than the fact our previous attempt was a failure when he was manager.

He wasn't a Moyes signing. Moyes may have had some initial input, sure, but Moyes was long gone when any deal was done.

Fine, but you wouldn't have bid had it not been for Moyes placing him on the top of the trasfer list in Aug and in Jan would you? Do you think you'd of signed him had a different manager been in place?

Maybe, who knows.

Unlikely eh

Most important thing is we have another defensive type player through the doors, if he can play it simple and break play up in the CDM role, that would be a bonus. Pity we never got Vert. Wenger wanted to play him as a defensive mid but Vert couldn't understand that and didn't want it. Bet he regrets it now though..

LVG clearly rates him just as highly, given he sanctioned a €36m deal to get him.

Taking into account we'd been linked to him while SAF was manager, what would have happened if Moyes had never been at the club is anyone's guess.

Moyes certainly went after Herrera at the last minute in the summer transfer window, which indicates he wasn't a priority target (Fabregas was).
