I can't think of serious link with Liverpool. I'd love him though.

I thought they tried when they were buying he other two players?

Rumours are Arsenal offered asking price. Not sure how that would work. Surely he would replace Arteta? Who is the Captain. I think it would be an upgrade though.

Good deal for dortmand. I liked kagwa just did not work out for him in the prem

Have no idea why we sold him so cheap, thought he was going for about £12-14m which would have been about right

Good luck to him though, sad to see him go but if three managers cant use him effectively it just wasnt meant to be

Edit sounds like Spurs are closing in on a loan deal for Welbeck, good for all parties I think (2m with wages being paid by Spurs)

Gutted about Kagawa, criminally wasted his talents.

LVG has no choice, we splashed £40 million on Mata, we can't bench him over Kagawa, would be a colossal waste of money.

Moyes and Fergie bent over backwards for Rooney who isn't as good in the 10 role as Kagawa.

It's just been all wrong for some time. Rotten deadwood everywhere.

Finding it hard to get excited about Remy. He's a definite improvement over Torres, but it's difficult to think of him as anywhere near 'world class'. He feels like another Demba Ba signing - good in front of goal but lacking the complete set of skills that top class strikers posses.

I know we were never going to attract the likes of Cavani or Falcao to sit on the bench and wait for cup games, but still - there are others out there between the two levels (e.g. Bony, Destro, Martinez). City have four strikers of arguably better quality than Remy, and it would be nice to emulate that at least with a second striker. Maybe Jose is eyeing up a few for next year to replace Drogba?

Just another spoiled Chelsea fan I guess :p

Completely agree.. scratching my head on it slightly!
May have better to keep someone like Moses?

As long as Costa keeps up current form and doesnt get injured we dont need to worry! :p

That's the key really, isn't it... Still fairly weak in depth at centre forward (not Arsenal-level weak to be sure, but still not ideal for a top club). Remy will do well enough for cup games, but with a player like Bony we could rest Costa to prepare for big European games, or late-season Premiership crunch matches, without much concern. With Remy I can't really see that happening.

Chelsea have played well so far this season, but so much of our play relies on Fabregas and Costa now that I worry how we will do if either of them is unavailable.

If we have sold Kagawa for €8m that is taking the pee. Thats the sort of fee you pay for a very average player in the bottom half of the PL. Letting Welbeck go out on loan isn't a bad thing to do but I doubt he will ever make it at the top of the PL.

Things seem to have gone quiet on the Borini front, obvious it'll be another last minute loan deal :(

Or Cleverley if reports are to believed. Gutting :p
