Strange thing about the falcao link its a journalist who is a close friend of his , I hope it doesn't happen we need to sort out a DM and CB

Why do man utd need another striker? City are fine tuning their squad but Man Utd still need to get a core in place. CB and DM must be more important than trying to get another amazing attacker in the squad.

On the spurs front zeki fryers looks to be off to palace (thank you palace! I have never seen anything to evidence why we wanted to sign him or fergie wanted to keep him) But Holtby looks to be off to Hamburg. If Holtby goes, I am pretty certain we will regret it. He has great vision, energy and heart. I think he will have great success.

Dawson, Holtby and VdV are the few spurs players I can think of with bottle and pride to play in a spurs shirt. It is no coincidence that we mentally capitulated yesterday.

Hernandez to Real Madrid on loan is a bit of an odd one...

I seriously doubt we want Falcao, I mean, I wouldn't complain because he's an amazing striker assuming his fitness is okay, but we'd be much better off with Vidal and a defender.

I think it's pretty much impossible to complete the Vidal deal in one day, a rigorous medical would probably take that long. Unless, as has been suggested a while back, we've already done one (on the sly).

If Negredo goes to Valencia and City get Falcao then that's...

Arsenal should be trying to move mountains to get him, but it appears they can't afford it.

Problem is falcao is like RVP mk2. Too old, over priced. Chances are you'll only get 3/4 of a good season out of him. Then in 2 years time his value has dropped so low you won't get any cash back on him.

And like rvp nhe would be a superfluous signing to hide the main deficiencies in the team not fix them.

However after over 2 years rvp and Rooney relationship on the pitch is so bad something has to be done.

Balo abd Sturridge had more chemistry after 90 seconds than the utd two.

I've just looked over all this Falcao stuff and pretty much everyone is convinced we're getting him, journalists close to him in Colombia, etc.

What the...

I thought some might be confusing us with City but they said they can't get him due to FFP.

Maybe this is Woodward? He really wanted Cavani for marketing purposes and now he can get the real deal...

As much as I'd like Falcao at United, and not at Arsenal/City, it would be idiotic for United to sign him. We've got Blind (or as close as ) and now I feel we need one more signing, in as everyone knows a DM or CB

I saw this referenced from The People Person earlier (who I dont usually rate at all, but is worth comedy value) but these overnight links seem viable

The only thing I can think of is that Utd know that RvP will be out for months due to this knee op he needs (which LvG asked him to delay until after the WC as its been evident since Jan /Feb) and so we need a lead striker

Obviously CM / CH is much more important and personally think board have lost their head if they sign Facao with little CM cover and no 1st rate centre-halfs (although potentially some promising ones)

Hernandez and Welbeck out, Falcao in. Heh. :p

I can't see it though, probably our name being thrown around for negotiation purposes (again).

Rumours that with Vidal being a no go, Utd are going to offer £8m for De Jong (which they appear to be open to), if they say no or want to haggle Utd could weill end up with no-one......

Would make sense, but who's buying?

City have difficulties with FFP unless they sell first (and for decient money) and are Arsenal likely to sanction ~£50m+ , would be unlikely I would have thought. Real arent that keen , and Barca or Munich havent even been whispered about in regards to him.....

Valdes is being linked with Liverpool, although it might not be tied up today but that won't be an issue as he's a free agent he can sign after the window closes.

I'd be very happy with him coming in to compete with Mignolet.
City can only afford a loan Monaco would rather sell

I'm struggling to think of anybody that would buy Falcao for the £40m+ being spoke about. A 28 year old (maybe older depending on what you believe) that's just coming back from a very serious injury is a huge gamble.

I certainly wouldn't want to commit £100m (including wages) on signing him. He might never get back to his best and even if he did, you might only get a couple of years out of him at that level.

Wow, thought Falcao was only 26/27. Anything over £30m for him would be quite mad.

The Celtic manager seems pretty insistent that he won't sell Van Dijk. Selfish *******.

With Van Dijk unavailable, Southampton favourites to sign Alderweireld, and Micah Richards off to Fiorentina according to the BBC, it doesn't look like we're going to get any of our CB targets :(
