Except he's going to be resident for tax purposes in the UK, no?
If I went to go work in the US for my company (for a 6-12 month period), I would still be paid back here - until the full transfer goes through anyway, I don't see the difference

We seem too be transfer muppets this season but I don't think we would be that stupid without first having a year to see if he's completely over the injury.

His employer is different.
That's my thinking but that's what Balague/his colleague are reporting. You can't believe him on the wages and then not the transfer part.
And if I remember correctly Balague reported the wages this morning as £9m(?) net, which would be £180k per week net, which would cost Utd somewhere in the region of £350k.
That doesn't actually matter, he is only on secondment for a fixed period.
His full term contract is still with Monaco
I've just watched his highlight reel on YouTube.
I'd give him my ****ing first born.
That Stoke kid on SSN
IF its Utd that have to pay him........
Payments or transfers of assets made to non-UK resident entertainers or sportspersons for (or in connection with) their UK activities fall within specific UK withholding tax rules.
Welbeck is at least 100 times better than Sanogo, right?
And he'd be resident here anyway, no? 'Cause you're a resident if you,
"spent 183 days* in the UK in that tax year. If you did, you will be resident in the UK."
And say Sep/Oct/Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb/Mar = more than 182 days.
Link to specific info about that not counting because he's on secondment?
Type Falcao goals in YouTube.
Sheesh.
