There are like 8 different exits to the MTR stations to Langham place, there is one at the basement of Langham Place ! (remember that thread where people argue about what is the 1st floor and ground floor? And they insist 1st floor is the ground floor because it is the first floor you step through when you enter a building? These people have never been to Langham place, the building has about 6 different MAIN extrances at about 4 different levels.)
As for drinking...that i don't know because I am not a drinker when i am over there.
If you want high places to go, Sky100 is great and give you a different view.
p.s. when at Victoria peak, take a walk down the path that goes ALL The way round the peak. Walk 1/4 of the way round for the best view. It'll take you about 15 mins. I have a panoramic from that point to edit and show you when its done![]()
That's the **** kok station, tbh, almost all MTS stations has a web of exits and entrances. They are split to A to H etc, and each letter can be A1 or A2 when it's split to side of a street.
I once got out of the wrong exit for Langham Place and had to resort to google map to find the building coz I was next street over.
I love Langham Place, the supermarket at the basement has a great little bakery and sushi section, but that can be said about lots of supermarkets there. There is a place call Toast Box, they do coffee in a way that you've never seen, it's pulled/filtered about 10 times, really nice, and their food is also one of the cheapest for a sit down place. Nice place for breakfast and it's right across one of your hotel entrance.

Macau is alright, casinos and hint of Portugal, I'd go for the day but remember to book a seat on the ferry, the Express Ferry and not the slow one. He express takes an hour.
This is the photo take on the path on the peak, Sky 100 is that building across the harbour.

As for food, I love Watami, there is one close by you. And get an app call Open Rice, it's basically an App like Trip Advisor but for food only for Hong Kong. What kind of food do you like?
Jason's Marketplace! When going back through the mall I always made sure to walk through the supermarket and pick up some goodies on the way.
5 months til my trip now.
I can't remember if this has been mentioned already, Elite, but make sure the Aviary in Hong Kong Park is on your to do list.
I do most of my drinking around the mid levels. The Wheel or La Piola usually being my starting point.
Guys, looking to stay at the Langham Place in October for 10nights. How do you guys recommend booking for best deal? Currently BA offering flight and hotel for 1800 (Single).
Thanks guys
Guessing the standard club room.
Elite, I'll make some food places suggestions when I get home later, but I've eaten in all kinds of places, being once a local and speak the language I get to order some random stuff that some westerners would find odd to eat. To be honest, it's hard to find a bad food place in Hong Kong, and expensive doesn't necessarily means better tasting. There are Michelin star restaurant that you can get 4 dishes for under £15. There are street food places that sells skewers squid which is quite tasty. Most malls has food hall that you can have a fab meal with a drink for £5 or less. From curry, to Chinese to noodles to steak and chips to burgers, the food hall is amazing there. The one in Time Square particularly has a very large variety of choice of cuisine to choose from.
Starbucks is at every corner if you want coffee, there is also a local chain call Pacific Coffee.
I'll show you some food pics later.![]()
6 weeks to go!
Halifax Clarity card came today - I heard something about asking for transactions in shops to be made in HKD and not GBP, can anyone clarify on this?
[TW]Fox;26554571 said:Always pay in local currency. Sometimes they'll ask if you want to pay in your home currency, if they ask this, always decline.
Thanks, but what's the reasoning behind this? (Quite a bit of a noob on these things sorry!)
[TW]Fox;26554602 said:If they charge you in GBP, they (or the payment provider they use) get to do the currency conversion - at a worse rate, giving them profit on the conversion.
If you pay in local currency, the conversion is done at the Mastercard rate, which is far better.
4 Months til my trip. So. Far. Away.![]()
