Right, because that's going to get you help in the future, insulting everyone because you don't agree with them.

Nobody called him a child or a monkey.

The image was suggesting that the OP was not listening to any of the input by putting his fingers in his ears. The 'child' comment was simply one where someone said about how they used to be, given advice, ignored it, and resulted in realising he should have listened. That can happen to anyone at any age.

Also, as an aside, I think you'll find the OP has been given good advice, has chosen to ignore it and has been told he shouldn't ignore it. The same thing happens in GD and all other sections of this forum, yet Motors is a despicable place full of horrible people (this is getting really boring now)....get over yourself and open your eyes. He's been given advice and chosen to completely disregard it.

I think it's pointless trying to help to be honest. Let him try everything and when he comes back saying 'it didn't work/my car is broken' we can say 'well, we did tell you'.

Redex shouldn't have any adverse effects and it's his money that his spending so it's up to him I suppose, he chose not to listen to advice that it won't help with the egr.

Nope it won't. Just put better quality diesel in (ie don't go to the supermarket when there's a Shell round the corner that does fuel for the same price).

i have used 5 liters of petrol in a full tank that helps but thought id try a diesel cleaner to see if it was better

What on earth are you doing mixing diesel with petrol in a 2007 commonrail turbodiesel?

Why dont you just stop pratting about it and just drive it? It's a 3 year old Toyota, you dont need to prat about with stupid additives and adding petrol!
