I would personally clean out the EGR valve by removing/refitting it and if available for this engine look into getting a restrictor plate to restrict the flow to the EGR valve this method will help prolong the life of the EGR and delay it getting blocked up and also prevent a fault light that would occur if it was fully removed.

It looks straight forward to clean out

i have used 5 liters of petrol in a full tank that helps but thought id try a diesel cleaner to see if it was better

There are different fuel types for a reason. Do you understand why you can't run a diesel CI engine on unleaded petroleum? (For the pedantic, severely recommended against.)

nobody told me, i have been doing it good for cleaning out the soot from engine

The specific densities of petrol and diesel are different. One fuel will float on top of the other in your fuel tank. Especially since diesel fuel is an immiscible fluid. They don't mix well.
