Its a 3 year old car for goodness sake, why are you going so bonkers about 'cleaning out' like its some sort of 10 year old thing thats never been serviced!?

Just drive it and put diesel in it.

DO NOT put petrol in it.

People used to sling a fiver of petrol in a tank of diesel years ago.

I am talking about Peugeot 405 era, i think the idea was some sort of injector cleaner.

why fox is it a bad idea?
it wont take its life

Petrol unleaded fuel has a different ignition temperature and pressure to diesel. Petrol is designed for spark ignition engines. You have a high pressure compression ignition engine which is designed to use diesel fuel. If you put petrol in a compression ignition engine, the fuel will ignite much more quickly than diesel fuel. It will cause havoc to your engine timing. There are loads of other factors too.
