Yeah it's weird i can't get them to boot in windows with any more than one stick present regardless of speed/timings.

Somebody recommend me some new memory. All i know of is Corsair Dom plats as Kaap suggested them. Any others worth considering?
It would be very difficult to go back that far and it could also make things even worse.
Mine is a very old style bios and iirc once you upgrade past a certain version you can not go back.
Fair enough. I think I'll stop messing around now, looks like new memory is needed. Didn't realise that would be the case when i made the switch.

There are better value options than Dominator Platinums.

You say that, the board should just pick up the JDEC speed and timings and just work. Something isn't right here.

Yes it was ok in my system before as far as i know. I do wonder though how GM has 16gb of sammy green working and he has the same board as me, but an older version i think.

Loads of people are using this RAM and motherboard combo. It should just work. Have you got other RAM to try in the board?
Nope afraid not. I wonder if anyone has it working on the latest bios revision?
Interesting update. I can get all four sticks working by putting them in the right memory banks, so not in the proper order??

Scrap that on second reboot it failed with Q code 34 again = CPU post-memory initialization

Though I hope you get your issues sorted quicker than me!
This is going to sound odd, but try one stick at a time. If it doesn't work, reseat it until it does.
Then move on to next and do same.
I had such issues with an x79 Asus board before.

Ok i got all four sticks working, but in the wrong slots Lol. I upped loads of different voltages, not sure which one made it work. Either way, this is not quad memory so i may as well get rid and get some proper stuff. Gonna be a nervous wait until tomorrow to find out if it works properly.

This is the stuff I use, but the 4x4GB kit. Spot on for clocking and no problems at all with compatibility issues. Google about for some prices on it.

4206 was the last decent one for SB-E, after that - they are IVY-E optimised
Hmm. Do you think that is why im having problems, or should it still work ok? I will probably wait it out till tomorrow now and see what new memory does.
