Tri-Fire AMD Brethren

If all's well with 1 stick and fails with all 4 sticks, flash the board to the latest bios and test again. It might not like the Samsung Greens.

I'm using the latest bios revision.

I'm starting to think it's the memory. God dammit. Which fast sticks would you guys recommend, 16gb ideally. I'll be wanting to tune and tweak them.

Try with one stick of ram in A1, just so you know Samsung greens hated my msi x79 board to the point I had to buy different sticks...

I've got 4x4GB Samsung Greens running in my R IV E @ 1866MHz (I struggle with CPU overclocking let alone RAM OCing).

Like Kaap mine is a pretty old board and is running quite an old BIOS.

Also, LtMatt, welcome to 2011. The socket type and the year :D

Will it boot off 1 stick from all the red slots independently?

I've just got it booting now with two sticks in. One in A1 slot red and one in c2 slot red. I will try the second stick in red B1.

EDIT

Yes it works in that slot. The only thing I've changed is 1T to 2T at 1600mhz. However as i was booting into windows the pc stopped and is giving error code 34 = CPU post-memory initialization

If i had that slot in C2 red it booted into windows.

I'm guessing it does not like sammys in certain mem slots. This is a concern.

Using all 4 red slots, 1600mhz 11-11-11-2T, post, stuck booting into windows. Black screen, Q error code 34 = CPU post-memory initialization.

PC appears to work fine with one slot in. Anymore and i get problems.

Set voltage for dram to 1.5, set speed to 800mhz, set timings to 2T, rest were all 11, up vccsa to 1.1375. No post, Q error code = Power on. Reset type detection (soft/hard). That's with all red slots filled with four sticks.

Don't use 800mhz it won't post even with my Corsair Dominator Platinum sticks.

What I normally do when I build a PC is to start with boot into the bios and select XMP to get me started before I do any tweaking.

Yes, there is no option for XMP for me Kaap. Infact my bios looks different to yours. Let me add a screenshot brb.
