** TRIO OF WEEKEND BLOODY SILLY PRICES!! **

It's not what it worth ..it's what people are willing to pay...yes you want a ti but people also want a 980 if it's a fair price...why would they pay 350 for 980 ?

Stuff always goes on the MM way cheaper than you can get elsewhere, great for buying, but pretty much all my stuff ends up getting sold on gumtree or similar

Why wouldn't they? A TI would cost £200 more (excluding weekend freaks like this).

And its not just a 980, it's one of the best you can buy. To be honest, I don't think it's the price that's the problem. People at 1440 want a TI and people at 1080 want a 970.

If you want top tier and you're playing that game you have to be able to take the losses....I was offered a 980 for £275 the other day ...the guy had only had the card 3 weeks...he bought it for £469

:eek::eek:

Yep, sold my 980 two weeks ago for £300 when they were still £400+del here UK. I bought it for £430+del on release day, I consider this a decent return considering I got 9 months use out of it.

Sorry, going OT here. The Zotac 980Ti AMP at £500 is a great deal IMHO, I s'pose I would say that. Confirmation bias an all

Hate this thread, intended a couple of hrs gaming and instead sitting ere like many I suspect toying with buying this ti?
Common sense is telling me to wait on a decent few fury x reviews, but having no really strong allegiance to nvidia or amd this ti would be fine for 1440 and not crazy bout aio either....hmmmmm

It's all about the timing...I call it the easyrider shuffle...you can be a couple of days out and loose hundreds of pounds...

The reason is...980 is now redundant tech...you're right...it's in no mans land...too expensive for 1080p and too close to ti pricing for the extra ram and horsepower...

Just wait then...mark my words the ti will drop when fury hits...

The best part was when gibbo said he is making no money on these. 500 units at £500 a pop and you arent making a penny? Pull the other one!

lol but if you believe it or not its better than paying lots for advertising
ive worked for advertising companies before and its a lot of faceless companies throwing money around

Love MM check my trust..:D

But I've taken a hit over the last decade in MM so paid my debt to to the MM society :p

I remember you from when I was selling my AOC Gsync monitor. I held out for a fiver more from the other guy, just for your cheek! :p

Anyway, enough of the hilarity here, I'm debating whether to part with 500 hard earned!

Ach, it's a great deal but having invested in the 980 I really need to stick to my guns and hold out for Pascal. By that time I won't care what the 980 sells for as I'll have had my money's worth. Plus, it really is holding its own with the Swift.

Still, well done Gibbo on such a fantastic deal on this 980ti.
