Trolling going too far...

I intentionally avoided naming you as I didn't wish to shame you more than you have already done yourself. Remember your sig when you first joined?

oh yeaaah, I was an immature **** back then lol. but anyways, your more than welcome to see my old kim jong il thread which is buried here in gd.

I'm actually going to stick up for TH here but only for the reason that he's really calmed down on all the /b/ stuff. When I first found 4chan I thought /b/ was the funniest thing in the world and wouldn't stop talking about it. I hardly ever go there now, it's an old joke. Most people who visit 4chan regularly avoid /b/. There are what, 50 or so other boards?

yea /b/ is old. I have not been on there in ages.

I'm not saying you said they annoy everyone.

You said they annoy you, therefore making them... annoying. Which I therefore said is ironic/hypocrtical.

I can draw a picture if that will help.

So I can't say someone annoys me because I may also annoy people?

You're a good one you LoL :D

So can someone briefly explain the whole /b/ 4chan stuff as I've never really looked too much in to it and would rather not on a work PC!

When will people will learn that you never display personal and\or sensitive events in your life on the internet, your just gonna end up getting hurt more.
Agree.

No you can, that's freedom of speech. I'm also entitled to therefore say that I think it's ironic etc that you would say something like that.

Basically you pointed something out, then I did, then you got confused over a VERY basic concept i.e. someone being hypocritical.

It's a very odd example of someone being hypocritical though.

I think you have taken my comment far too personally and assumed I was referring to you, which I wasn't as it happens but now I know that you do post on 4chan it kind of proves my point that 4chan posters annoy me on there and on here.

Hypocritical or not :)

It's just a onslaught of extremely dubious humour including at times extreme violence and child porn. It's shocking and totally not worth your time.

I think the cp has died down a lot recently since the news been covering it, that all the pedo's have been arrested. Most users of /b/ report it.

Serious about the child stuff? Wow... So technically you could be arrested after going to that site and done for CP?

No, but its defiantly not safe for work. Just dont download the image or comment on those sort of threads.

I personally DO NOT support /b/. They are scum.

/b/ is the random board. Generally filled with

porn
gore pics
animal cruelty
raid info of other forums
memes [internet fads/trends/inside jokes]
posting of peoples' personal details to call them up/harrass them/send them pizzas
illegal content [which generally gets removed pretty quickly these days]

The hilarious thing is that though most people are under the impression that /b/ threads expire, they don't, they are retained on servers and examined. Any posts which concern illegal material are followed up on. moot had to reach this agreement with the authorities in order not to have the servers seized. /b/ is pretty much a goldmine for tracking down these sorts of people. There is more detailed info on this elsewhere, I'll post if anyone wants. Nothing that would contravene the rules of this forum.

Seeing as no decent company wants to affiliate itself with 4chan, it makes no money: it basically pays for itself. The instigation of Canvas is an attempt to create a 'worksafe' /b/ which other companies will partner with and, in turn, create revenue for the founders.

Poster at very popular message board gets booted out and threatened with legal action, sets up his own message board.

???

Profit, I guess.

For the 4chan approved version, just wiki moot.
