Really gives any tablet some great volume and what makes it unique is the tablet nicely sits on them due to the speaker/stand design. Very goooooooood!

I believe so, but its not advertised as such as being compatible, but we've stopped dealing with them and are just clearing the stock to get rid now to be honest, so apart from the Evoke they are very old models, once sold out we won't be selling Storage Options tablets again as the failure/DOA rate is way too high, out of every brand we've ever sold they are the worse. :(

well mine works fine but not quite as nicely as a tablet with a playstore....or the bbc iplayer...or one you can put on standby without stupid amount of battery drain. Not that I'm bitter :D

Yeah when they work they are OK, but our failure rate was nearly 50%, which is absolutely insane, hence the decision to phase them out.

I would like to know this as well, I dont even use my v1 anymore due to poor battery life and random lockups.

Now that they have acknowledged that the first version had poor battery and prone to lock-ups they should replace it as it isn't fit for the purpose.

The device were fine for purpose, I am using a V1 at home no issues, and regular get 5-6 use from it, browsing the web, emails and playing the odd game, no issues. Perfectly fit for purpose, an effect unit will have following issues.......

In short the batteries/screens had too high a failure rate, it is easy to detect if you have issues, with screens it was dead pixels, easy to spot. If you had a battery issue it was as simple as the unit randomly switching off when not on mains, locking up in a 3D Game/Video when on battery but not on mains or only lasting a very short time, like less than 1hr on battery. Due to these issues the failure rate was higher than expectation. If the tablet has these issues, it is faulty, we've taken action that will hopefully vastly reduce this or completely eradicate it. :)

Fortunately majority work absolutely fine. :)

Having had two V1's die very soon after purchase, I'm a little wary, but I'll give the V2 a chance at that price :)

When it worked, the V1 was all cool.

So can we return the V1 if it had dead pixels?

Well we shall be very interested in feedback, hopefully these new batches will have better reliability, otherwise we shall have to source another factory, which would be a shame as they are great tablets when you get a working one of course.

One thing that confuses me in the spec, quote:
Storage: 8GB NAND Flash (Upgradable to 64GB /w SD Card)
Memory Card: Micro-SD (Support up to 32GB)

If it has 8GB built-in & can only take a max. 32GB SD card that's only 40GB
So how do I upgrade it to the 64GB quoted?

Just received mine. can't plug it into the mains though as it comes with a 2 pin plug not a 3 pin uk plug.

Will have to charge via usb.

Nearly ordered one earlier, glad this has been pointed out.

Thought Gibbo had been testing these for several weeks, surely he would have known already about the 2 pin power plug?

Thanks for the head's-up.
My local pound stores sell UK travel adaptors, I'll splash out a quid for the unit I've just ordered!
Can I point out from a safety point of view that you should NEVER USE A SHAVER ADAPTOR PLUG for normal 2 pin plugs.
Shaver plugs have thicker, shorter pins than a standard plug, so the thinner pins on a 2 pin mains plug never make proper contact.
This can result in overheating and burning.

To be honest the charger is 5v 2amp so a charger for my S4 will do the job. But I would have rather had Haribo in the box than a useless charger

If these are anything like the first ones then it might also be worth pointing out that when they say 8GB, it's actually more like 500MB and then an internal SD card with about 6GB free that you can Move some apps to to free up the 500MB space. Not all apps can be moved (I believe).

Rooting it may be a solution.

So are you saying they have 2 x SD Slots, 1 internal & 1 external?
If so this answers the question I posted earlier today regarding capacity.

How would you go about adding extra mem internally.

There is only one Micro sd slot on the outside

I only bought it to replace the wife's kindle so no biggie if its not perfect.

Regarding the 2-pin plug that comes with it, isn't it a legal requirement to supply a 3-pin converter if you are selling something that has a 2-pin plug?
