Trusted CD Key Sites.

It's no different to me going down ASDA and grabbing stupidly cheap Dead Island keys and selling them on at a small increase to people I know/on forums/etc. (Dead Island released at about £20 there brand new iirc).

It is though, because you're not a) making an entire business from it, or b) deliberately targeting countries where games are traditionally more expensive.

Bearing in mind that Sony managed to get an entire website shut down for selling imported stock which took revenue from their own UK division, it's fairly obvious that it is dodgy and they are diverting money and sales away from the 'normal' retailers.

Used CJS for Guild wars and the Key was invalid.

Tried them again for Assassins creed 3 Deluxe and was given a normal edition code. Support was useless even lying on both facebook and contradicting their own website.

Paypal dispute was rejected because no physical goods had been exchanged CJS's response was oh well tough then.

Made a claim through Barclaycard who reported the transaction as fraudulent and refunded my money.

Will NEVER go near these conning skumbags again.

Bought 2 keys online, both from Simply Games.

Borderlands 2
Sleeping Dogs (just now thanks to Divine Wind)

Got both Steam keys in minutes and they activated without issue.

Just seen X-Com on there for £12.99....

Anyways, I recommend them and they also have a customer services phone number which is reassuring.

Have used CJS CD keys 3 times now; Battlefield 3, Diablo 3 and FM 2013.

The key was emailed to me each time within a couple of minutes of purchase and never had an issue.

Saved about £10-£15 on each title so can't complain!

- 100 for Simply Games

I ordered a Black Ops 2 code at 16:40 and almost an hour later it still has not arrived, even though it stated it can take up to 15 mins.

Won't be using them if it it doesn't show up sharpish and I'll be writing a negative Trust Pilot review for them too!

Edit - Since my registered account didn't match my Paypal address they needed verification (email/tel working days/business hours). So I've now requested a refund and paid via Credit Card. The code came 7 minutes later.
Because of this I'd neither give it a + or -. To put it "Simply" their payment system when using Paypal is crap.

CJS CD KEYS Shambles...my experience.

I wished I had listened to the other posts relating to the stolen credit card shambles with Guild Wars 2...and I wished that I had really listened to those that had similar after service experiences with these guys.

Personally up until this week they had been pretty good as far as I was concerned but this is what happened.

During May of this year I purchased a Retail Key for the Secret World from CJS CD Keys. The key was manually emailed to me and I created my account, so far so good, no issues. I played the game during the initial early access period and thought the game was.....ok.

I stopped playing after about a week because I didnt feel it was worth a subscription package.

Very recently The Secret World went free to play and I thought, why not. I tried to log on and was told that I had an invalid key. I went to Funcom's live chat and this a transcript of the log :

Thank you for using Funcom Live Chat. Due to high demand, the wait time for Live Chat is higher than usual. Please be patient and we will be with you as quickly as possible.

2012-12-15 15:50:34 Customer: I bought a Secret World key a long time ago, the key I got was : XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX , but I cant activate it as a game key
2012-12-15 15:50:50 GM Tamtor: Let me take a look at it, see what's going on.
2012-12-15 15:51:00 Customer: Thankyou
2012-12-15 15:53:03 GM Tamtor: It looks like you have already bound this key.
2012-12-15 15:53:33 Customer: yes, I have to my account, username : xxxxxxxx
2012-12-15 15:53:41 Customer: I cant login to the game though
2012-12-15 15:54:33 GM Tamtor: Taking a look now.
2012-12-15 15:55:10 GM Tamtor: Ok, this key is only a pre order key. your retailer should have provided a different key for the retail release.
2012-12-15 15:55:42 Customer: ahh ok, I will let the retailer know. thankyou

I created a ticket with CJS CD Keys and they absolutely refuse (after numerous e-mails of trying to explain to them the situation) to resolve this issue :

"Well I'm afraid that there really isn't anything we can do. It's not our fault if you didn't buy the game-time to convert the game into a retail code :/"

Convert into a retail code!!?!?!? Are they even aware of the products that they sell?

It seems the warning signs were there.

RANT OVER.

Cheap prices, and no service.

Sorry if I'm missing the obvious here, but why would a F2P game still require a key?

Can the game's CS not issue you a F2P key for your account?

The game used to require a subscription, it now doesn't. You still need to purchase the game to play

Yes unfortunately this is the issue, I have a key, but the one they sent me was pre-order only for the early access it seems. I wasnt aware of this when they sent me the key.

I still need a retail key to play, which you can buy for about £25 at the moment I believe.

Damn frustrated with it all.

Funnily enough i just done the EXACT same thing, i bought Secret World via CJ Keys, the same as you i got emailed a Code, put this in, played fine for a week or so and decided the game wasnt for me and never went back.

Like you recently the game got changed to B2P so i decided to try it again, logged into my Funcom account and see no key attached to it, odd i thought, i had my previous email with the key, tried it, didnt work, noticed the key was via some Autokey thing so i tried that and it didnt work, however this seemed due to the system being changed i think after i had bought my key, i think they changed the way the autokey system worked or something a month or so after. So i emailed CJS Keys the following

"Hi Guys, trying to retrieve my key for The Secret World which i bought from you guys, unfortunately cos the order was so long ago i think the Autokey thing doesnt work now? Can you please sort me my key out. Thanks "

Got a Response the next day

" WXXXXXXXXXXXXXN .... YOUR NEW ADDED KEY IS XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Keep safe, we do not normally store keys that have been sold.

CJS appreciates your custom. " (replaced the actual keys with X's :P)

So it was fairly positive for me, im sure you can probably get them to sort something.

they can be a bit crap.....they took my order for borderlands 2 and then took 2 days to send me the cd key.
if they had said they didnt have it in stock i would have bought it from elsewhere....rather than let me know they didnt have it in stock after they took my money.
silly thing is they weren't even the cheapest.

Just want to add, im guessing like me, you recieved the initial code from them and thought that was the actual game key, im guessing they sent us both a pre-order access key, but also if you go into your CJS Keys Account online on their page, you can see your previous orders, check the Autokey thing there, to see if you can still access your old key, if you cant, chase them up with that info and see if they can give it to you.

They literally just sent the another code through that works.

This is my first example of poor service with this company, but it has taken me 5 days to get this resolved, with numerous e-mails.

The problem I had was that the key was not loaded to autokey for me, they manually e-mailed me just one code.....the pre-order one.

Although it is fixed it has left a definite sour taste in my mouth.

Once bitten....
