trying to get steady 4ghz

Just been looking at the differances between the tweo and the differant timings people have got on other forums, not once has some one said that the memory has failed...I'm not sure if it is the memory...all the other forums rate these LLK memory modules of our as fantastic with overclocking. Some have even overclocked this memory to 1866 easily with no problems...

I have the same LLK memory, ours is supposed to be better than the ELK with the default 9.9.9.24 timings @ 1600mhz.

Its got to be a bad batch i guess, would be interesting to see how many people bought the patriot memory around the start of september time and how many have had problems, we know of 3 on this thread alone

madindehead, any problems yet? Are you running prime95?

4 hours Prime95 blend stable so far. And been using the PC a wee bit during that also. All seems good so far with this Corsair XMS3.

Edit: Now 5 hours stable on a Prime95 blend. Going to stop it for now, as I have work etc. But all seems to be ok. Just need some new fans to cool it down a wee bit more now.

madindehead, did u send the 3dmark vantage free key with the memory aswell, back as, i have used mine already??

Great to hear you guy had success with the XMS3 memory. I think its really good stuff personally. I now recommend only them.

God will this ever end!, so now LinX 0.6.3 stops and reports an error after 3 minutes with the XMS3 memory running at rated settings!! Any suggestions?

Hmm. That's not sounding so good lettuce =(

What are your QPI voltages like? And RAM voltages. I'm assuming they are all at good volts, but sometimes we can make mistakes. Checked uncore multiplier etc?

Well i was using the same settings i had before, that gave me 9 hours of prime, 20 passes of LinX and an hour of OCCT. I then notice LinX fail within minutes after installing the XMS3 memory. I have now loaded default settings in bios, and just enabled the profiler setting for the memory, and it still fails LinX. Now disabled the profile option and am changing memory settings manual, and ill see if that helps!

Gets even stranger now, OCCT is now failing too, report 'Error Detected Nn Core1', ive never had OCCT report that before, surely that cant be linked to this memory though can it??

Hmmm, i just noticed the turbo mode was enabled in the bios, so have changed that to standard, done 20 minutes of occt atm
