TSB Upgrade issues

Can't believe they still haven't sorted it!

Absolutely bonkers. Thankfully my TSB current account isn't used regularly. I have the maximum £1500 tucked away earning 3% a month. This access issue is bad for anyone using it daily but I'll gladly take some compo from them if/when they decide what it will be. I can see a lot of people leaving after this too.

The CEO is saying it was a bandwidth problem, shifting the focus onto the customers. To me it sounds like it broke whether it was 10 people trying to log on or 100,000.

Edit:

TSB crisis: CEO says online banking is 'up and running'

The opposite seems true for me and plenty of others.

Still can't get in, they're supposedly limiting the number of online users.... this is a joke tbh, bank switch required.

The CEO can say what he likes, it's not working.

One of my accounts is with TSB and I still can't log in, just comes up with a blank page. Luckily I don't use that account much, however the missus is with TSB and I got her to deposit some cash last at the end of last week with the plan of transferring it to me as I couldn't get to a branch. I should have just held on to it and waited as she still can't transfer it to me!

Ugh, I don't think I need to get in but I'd like to as I want to check a few things.

Lol at everyone all "I'm going to leave merrrrrr", yeah because when was the last time they actually had an issue?

Who cares when the last time was? One time is enough, absolutely no excuse for not being able to access the account for 5 days.

I've had multiple bank accounts in the past, and still do. None of them have had a problem logging in. It's a pretty basic requirement for a bank account these days.

I would never bank with Halifax purely because of their god awful adverts in the past, you can add Nationwide to that list as well :p

Anyone switching I can highly recommend First Direct, their online banking isn't the best UI but at least it works. Awesome customer service as well.

I'm seeing duplicate debits to my account and my balance is showing all over the place on the 3 times I've successfully logged in today. Tried to call TSB but gave up on hold...

I still can't believe that this is acceptable. Surely a bank of this magnitude should have redundancy to fall back on? Why were these systems not tested? Tbh this country seems to bet getting very lax in terms of what we tolerate from businesses lately. We've had the Thames water outage here in London, Vodafone outage, Ryanair cancelling flights, British Airways cancelling everything, I can go on and on.. Yet we tolerate it, suck it up and let it get swept under the rug again. This morning we had a power blip which caused most of our plant to shut down, we had it all up and running within 10 minutes because it's our job and anything longer is unacceptable. Heads need to start rolling for these incidents, otherwise it's just going to get worse.

Finally got back in for the first time since Friday and checked that everything is as it should be with my accounts but the site is still very slow to load etc.

I've been with TSB since 1994 and, while I've had a few niggles along the way, this has been the first time that they've really dropped the ball for me. Having seen just how much crap other banks have got into for having IT failures you'd think that anything as huge as this migration would be planned to the "n"th degree with multiple layers of redundancy etc and I think it's time the FSA is given some real teeth when dealing with IT/access issues like this i.e. £50M per day fines for "lack of access" etc just to really make banks pay attention!

Do these people not hire PR companies, everything the CEO seems so final only for plenty of customers to prove otherwise.
