i have a 2004 (on a private plate though) Audi TT 225 Sport..
Bought from a main Audi dealer for £14985 and came with:
Xenon's, Sat Nav, heated Seats, CD Changer, Bose, 18" Wheels etc.
On the dyno at 226bhp, 0to60 in 5.9 secs. Average fuel consumption is 36.7mph (recorded over 100miles of varying journey of town / country road / motorway). Top speed at 155.
Im 22, it costs £750 a year to insure with a £300 excess. Tyres are Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's at £117 per tyre fitted.
Driving wise: Used to run a 330 bmw on a 53 plate, the TT is much more fun to drive although completely different inside. The TT has huge grip (especially with the pirelli tyres) and hugs corners, this is obviously due to the quattro 4wd system. Its not in the same league of 4wd as the Subaru Impretza STI prodrive for example, but more than enough to handle a roundabout at 70 or galloping through country roads. BMW has far more room but in relation driver space is the same. The TT is a sports car the BMW was a quick saloon. Image wise, I think the TT looks better, a 330 looks the same as every other 3 series BMW. Obviously whilst the TT has rear seats, you cannot get anything bigger than a baby in the back. For me that doesnt matter as there is atm only me and missus and she dont need much space.
I origionally wanted a M3 but insurance as expected at 22. So went for the 330 last year, then changed to the TT as I got bored with the BMW. really happy with my choice as the TT on a purely image basis is very nice and to drive is also really good fun.
IMO dont listen to people slating the TT driverability etc as being someone who has owned both, the TT is more fun to be in and is more involving than the 330BMW
