Turkey Grand Prix 2010, Istanbul Park - Race 7/19

The difference between Lewis and Jenson was there to see. Lewis was going to take that 1st place back no matter what. Jenson is a lot more cautious than that. Mclaren got a bit lucky there really, that could easily have ended in tears to.

I imagine Mclaren will have a sit down and discuss how they do things in the future.

Nice to see Jenson stuff it to all those that still think Lewis would blow him away. The gap just isn't that much between them.

The entire car. You're only in front when your car is further ahead. You can't assume a line when you haven't fully passed the car. A driver of their skill should be able to overtake succesfully AND not expect another driver to move over. If they can't get past fully then they should either hold alongside until they can or drop back if they feel its unsafe.

So unlike certain Australian drivers pushing other people off the track and onto the grass as soon as he gets alongside at numerous events?

Will never happen. As soon as one car is even slightly ahead he'll try to force the other driver to do his bidding.

More Mike Gascoyne: Well done McLaren, would like to be in the Red Bull debrief

Wouldn't we all. ;)

That was a really good race, Hamilton was seemingly constantly about half a second behind a red bull, but not quick enough through the corners to get past, good stuff,

Vettel and Webbers crash was interesting, definately looks like Vettel moved over, and he wasn't far enough ahead to claim the line, suggesting that Webber should just let him past in a RACE, teammates or not is just silly frankly.

Then the Hamilton and Button stuff, some great driving from both, and no crashing :p

Shame for Petrov as well, running solidly and a minor contact puts him back to 15th, I note he did get fastest lap though, not much of a consolation but hey

try, doesn't mean they have to be forced. Just like msc trying to force Button out the way. Button held his ground and MSC had no choice but to pull out. Exactly like Vettle should have done.

What a great race. I was gonna head to bed after the opening laps - bloody glad I didn't now! Loved the Button/Hamilton moves following the RBR crash, really on the edge of your seat stuff.

Can only hope we have many more races like that this season.
