Turkey Grand Prix 2010, Istanbul Park - Race 7/19

Well done McLaren, great race - and dont forget that while Red bull's where still 1 - 2, Jenson still got a handful of fastest laps at that point of the race (2 before his stop, and another 3 or 4 in the mid 30's ), not to mention JB overtaking the "mighty" MS

Personally think Hamilton will have to be more wary next time JB is directly behind, as its been proven he can overtake given the chance (after all LH is expected to overtake - so nothing new, from certain people around here anyway)

JB only 4 points off the top of the lead of the Drivers championship after the disaster of Monaco

Laughs at how terrible Ferrari is at the moment and how little Alonso did (and think he should be penalised for taking Petrov out with a shoddy overtake)

edit - wonder if MW will be treated a little different in the RB team after his comments in the driver interviews)

Good win for Lewis.

Button showing a bit of cheekyness. Shame it back fired and made him look silly. :D

..and just lol at Vettel.

Would have been nice to see MSC on the podium.

I think RBR screwed up due to lack of driver management and the fact VET cant stand not being the centre of attention. Well done VET, you are now for all the wrong reasons, you spanner.

It didnt make him look silly at all, he did exactly what he is paid to do - and as the driver with No 1 on his car, he shouldnt be asked to do anything else

So you expect Webber to swerve out of the way just because Vettel had half a car length?

You expect Vettel to slow down and let Webber back through?

Vettel moved over and Webber didn't. Webber's done it the other way round with many people where the other people have been forced to move onto the grass to avoid him.

It's one of the standard things in F1. You get in front, you try to take advantage. Races have been won by less than half a car length.

JEEE ZEUS! What an awesome race. Almost had 2 heart attacks:

Once when we had a powercut.

Once when Button decided saving the fuel was gay and jumped on Lewis.

I feel sorry for the RB team. Clearly Vettel's fault, even if he is on the dirty side of the track, those two steering wheel adjustments to try and make Webber concede the racing line were ridiculous... and ultimately put himself out. Could have held the inside line tbh. Still, letting your racing drivers race is an admirable thing and it is clearly happening at both the top teams.. making a thoroughly entertaining spectacle.

I know CS was also talking about Turkey showing who is boss with the downforce, and yet the 2 sectors for McLaren were easily enough to outpace the RBs per lap. If McLaren had been in the clean air I don't think it would have been as close.. but then the fuel could have played a significant part as McLaren's nursed home..

Great racing, and exciting times!

Im surprised you are still argueing the point given the perfect display about how it should be done by McLaren a lap or two later

Vettel unquestionably at fault (doesnt mean MW should have been quite as blunt as he was though)

No I am very glad he tried to overtake Hamilton but I was simply saying Hamilton showed him up straight away by overtaking him back.
