Turkey Grand Prix 2010, Istanbul Park - Race 7/19

McLaren - slow at updating the car last year? They went from nigh on the slowest team to almost the fastest at the end of the year. Surely that is some development right there? Ferrari caught up at some circuits but they did not put the resources in and focused on this year - to great effect it seems.

yes they did you are correct- but too late to make any difference in last year's title hunt which is what I was referring to

maybe should have made the point more obviously

Mercedes have adapted their car to suit MS

I don't get why people are saying this as if to suggest the team are biased towards Schumacher at the moment. Ofcourse I know all the history of Schumi in F1 teams getting all the parts and so on but Rosberg has said himself he wanted the car to be changed like this!
It just happened that the first race with the new car Rosberg didn't beat Schumi and suddenly its all "New car for Schumi that Rosberg didn't want" :/

Well it would have taken a minor miracle to bring the McLaren up to the front of the field within 3-4 races last year it was that bad, there were so many more teams in front of them and Ferrari, shame they didn't have the resources to catch up.

all a bit rubbish, either allow team orders or punish them.

Surly the fact hamiltons engineer said, Button would not over take is evidence that he thought team orders were in play.

This race has massively annoyed me. GGGrrrrrrrr.
Team orders and RBR cheating. It's not teh fact they got away with it as such. FIA as said has a stretchy rule book and tape measure. It's the apparent media ban and no word from FIA on it.

But don't forget Hamilton asks first, which makes the whole situation pathetic

I don't follow. Why would Hamilton asking, make the situation pathetic?

In fact why would the entire situation surrounding team orders be pathetic?

You do realise that team orders have been in play ever since F1 began? The only different now is that you cannot openly admit to the use of team orders.

As long as outfits are operating as a TEAM, it is impossible to prevent team orders in F1 (or indeed any sport).
