Turn Baldurs Gate and its sequel into the single best CRPG experience you'll likely ever encounter

Hmmm ... I just cannot get this to work :/

The last time it gave me a message about WeiDU not being installed. I extracted this to my BG -SOA directory and it still loads in with the ToB menu, not the revised BG / BG2 menu.
 
Completed baldurs gate 1 and i did many of the subquests but not all , it was just too long although fun :eek:. Something so many modern rpg's lack , the crossover from 1 to 2 was great!. A few blank screens i thought it had crashed but it was just loading the streamline story from 1 to 2. So much better to play it this way and also not a single crash or error :D

Going to give BG a rest now though before i become brain fried
 
Well, after a few days of playing with the 'recommended' mods I'm very tempted to revert to using TuTu. Some of the new content seems great but I keep coming across NPCs with German dialogue. How's everyone else finding it? What setup are you using Neil79?

I may cut my mod selection down even more. I don't really need the extra NPCs for instance as I don't use half of those in vanilla.

That's because of this , which i put in post 52

Click on MINIMUM VERSION
Tick - Do NOT install Foreign-Language Mods
Tick - Further Customization of your mod settings

I installed this about 8-9 months back (when the last thread was posted...), sailed through BG1, with some awesome addons. Started BG2 and the game broke :( I keep meaning to backup the saves and reinstall all 30 odd Gb of it....
 
Unfortunately patching Baldurs gate 1 seems to have stopped it working altogether for me, might give re-install/give it another shot tommorow.
 
If you just download the beta big world project you wont get any german mods and will be able to play on reccomended. You could also tweak your mod.
